You are supposed to get SP slowly in this game.
SP progression is fine.
People aren't leaving Dust due to any SP concerns, they're leaving mostly due to poor matchmaking or boredom. We need new things to do, PVE, new modes, new maps, but most importantly we need a matchmaker that pits players against each other relative to their abilities so that we don't have as much pubstomping.
It's primarily the pubstomping that causes new players to leave. |

It's primarily the pubstomping that causes new players to leave. And those who do stay realize that MCC afking is better than playing :I
This is only because CCP hasn't gotten around to changing the way SP is applied, or punishing AFK losers. Don't worry though, that day is coming.
Veteran players are leaving because of boredom, but new players leave because of poor matchmaking (and initial complexity to learning the game). |

I hope it will get better and fun will outweigh risk/reward ratio :)
You should just leave.
You are part of the problem. AFKers are also a black eye on Dust.
Stop playing if it isn't fun, and come back when it is. You already get passive SP in this game, how lame do you have to be to still AFK? |

I do play, I play every game but once I die twice back to the MCC :). Gotta keep my costs low.
That's why you run militia, or cheap fits. Have some economic sense.
AFKing is like cutting in line at the grocery store. You might blame the store for having a long line, but you don't cut because it's rude to the rest of the people in line. AFKing is rude to the rest of the people on your team, and makes you look like a douche. |

Now, if we had PVE, PC that mattered, more maps, modes, etc... how many people do you think would log in regularly? Full passive SP would solve many issues. |

This is true I will try and change my habits, but the fact cannot be denied that at some point most players can say that the reward for actually playing is not rewarding enough. The reason being that CCP rewards players for time spent in the game not for actual gameplay performance. I can run around get myself 1K WP and get like 8K SP and lose 100K ISK, I can also stay in the MCC and get like 6K SP and make 150K ISK. This should not be like this, the first scenario should reward with enough SP and ISK to reflect my performance, inversely the person in the MCC shouldn't get anything. The reason matchmaking is such a problem is because it pits newbies with vets and it is unfair for them because of the grind required to get competitive versus the vets.
I agree with your last statement. Regarding the rewarding enough aspect, I believe that the reward CCP should be working on is adding new game modes, PVE, etc, so people play because it's fun, not because of some Skill Point reward system.
