as a Pilot I have noticed many times militia dropships are used to ram into high level assault dropships to take them down, same with higher level dropships, they should not lose all their shields and armor if they get a slight scratch from another dropship. or even a slight bump, decrease the damage of the initial impact
high speed impacts are understandable, but slow bumps shouldn't do that much damage to an assault dropship |

If my life was at critical weather its a weak low level Drop ship or an assault drop ship i will ram it into another drop ship or vehicle if i can. btw what ship are you flying and what do you have on it. people have rammed into me and it only takes down about half of my shield or for harder hits usually get my ship into critical. I use Caldari Assault Dropships, I spec into defense on shields, but I have survived being rammed into a mountain at near full speed and only losing half my shields(showing off to a friend, didn't see the obvious mountain haha). but another dropship bumping me once at a slow speed destroying my ADS just like that? Absurd i say |

(When my ship is about to go down.) But i never had someone gently hit me before and take down my shield and hp.
(Theory:) It may depend on were you get hit. like If someone hits your engine it may cause serious damage) that's the odd part. i was recently in a ASD to ASD dog fight, the nose of his dropship bumped my side as i was dodging, generally never takes me down, but to my surprise. I exploded as he flew away undamaged |

I exploded as he flew away undamaged now this is were it can get tricky what i think it may be the speed or how hard hey turned. Example: If im going full speed with a drop ship then i slow down and make a had turn im still going at the same speed but still at the same time slowing down because the thruster are moving in an opposite direction witch causes you to start slowing down. Now if both of you were going fast it possible the momentum was still there as you both were turning (if you were) you would still take a decent hit to cause damage... Heres a good example: If i was driving the past another car close enough to scrap it i would cause minimum damage. If i would go head first into the car i would cause devastating damage. Now if i was coming from the side and making a tight tern to aviod the car the and my back end swong around it will lose most of it momentum but there will still be enough to put a dent in the car. Depending on the speed of course... Or it was a glitch. i need to see it to tell you how it happened or experience it. Hope this helps a little. Edit: The part about bullets going through him it may have been a glitch because both of you should have went down when you collided. the inertia of the forward momentum of the ASD. being equivalent to mine would cancel out the impact, hence only it being a bump, we were traveling at the same speed during the flight, so I wonder why, as you say it could be a glitch, cause i have in many cases, flown back to back with other pilots back to back(or side to side per se), both Dropships near centimeters of each other, the impact, or rather. Scrape wouldn't damage me, same with some enemy dropships, the problem is that the impact damage is not consistent and sometimes spikes.
Ps:we should fly together sometime, and play a few games with air superiority :P
EDIT:not sure if i mentioned this, but he was dead center to mine, so he was headed forward towards me, same speed as mentioned before. |

I have had some try to do so, but i find it sad that a fully armored and shielded ASD pilot would do so with his Dropship, since he should and probably would have lost his as well

EDIT2.0:"impact damage is not consistent" as to referring to lighter bumps or hits as mentioned previously. I.E. light damage spiking to high damage spikes, hope i didn't lose you haha If you are interested in flyig in groups, join the Eyes in the Sky chat, a channel for all pilots to meet Thanks, i will be sure to join soon enough
