Would it also be hit by the splash damage, thus allowing the mass driver to hit you twice per shot?
the same question also applies to AV grenades, and swarms.
Swarms do not have a huge blast radius, but they still have one like other explosive weapons. And because it's a weapon that will always probably hit its target directly, the target would also be in range of its splash radius |

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think so, the MD dd is higher than the splash dmg so I believe it would make no sense to do both. It should only do one or the other.... I'm only assuming the obvious here but please correct me if I'm wrong and you have the stats on this guys. |

I'm pretty sure the direct damage listed in the mass driver's stats is the splash damage plus the bonus for direct contact. In other words, it does still deal splash damage, and the direct damage amount is the splash damage combined with the extra damage caused by impact. |

Is a direct hit like right on the person? Like right in the chest? Like it sounds logically but gotta make sure cause you can hit right under someone feet and that can count as a direct hit. |

If the target is hit directly by Mass Driver that target will receive direct damage only. However, players standing next to them will receive splash if they are within the blast radius. There is no scenario in which player can receive both direct and splash damage from Mass Driver. |

What about the PG cost of the flaylock? It doesn't seam to be in line with other sidearms or proto weapons. The Item meta level also seems to be bugged. Is this related? |

flaylocks are just fine per level in comparison to other side arms like the SMGs and scrambler pistols. they work as intended in close range.
People are spamming the flaylocks because they reload very fast. people normally shooting at you with a flaylock need 2 clips to kill you because they miss so much.
to stop the spammers you need to increase the reload time by 1 second. but i would like the blast radius to be improved by .5 meters because the blast radius isnt that good. its still workable but if the reload time is increase the radius has to compensate a bit.
easy fix: 1-1.5 second reload time increase .5 increase to blast radius
(watch everyone go bac to SMGs now)
P.S. people move way to fast to direct impact someone with flaylocks. reducing their damage or radius would only cripple them as they would require too much precison and dnt fire fast enough to compensate. therefore the only solution is reload time. many people spam them because the reload time is so fast. but increasing this would cause them to have to aim more precisely (which spammers dnt want to do. the radius being increased by .5 meters will help players who are actually good with them to hit their targets before the need to reload.) |
