Right now once you get out of academy you are thrusted into games where you are clearly outmatched. This is a huge turn off to people who are new to dust 514. I have real life friends that I tried to hook them on to this game but it's hard when every single game they get pub-stomped.
My idea is have playlist go by the level of suit you have skilled into. For example, if a new player only has standard suits then they will be able to play in a standard playlist. While is if they have proto suits then they can play in any playlist, but if they chose to play in a standard one their proto suits will be locked. Same goes with advance suits.
I believe this will keep then casual players with each other and the competitive against each other. Nothing is more boring than redlining for both teams. You will have better match-ups and it will keep the new players from being thrown into a game with elite corps running proto gear.
Another thing to change is your isk and sp earnings after the game is over. If you are willing to put your expensive proto suit on the line you should get a bigger reward. In other words if you play on the prototype playlist your earnings will be multiplied as a result it will attract more players to stay in the proto playlist instead of walking in and out.

I think they should just increase the level to get out of the academy up to 2 - 2.5 mil. This way when they get into ''the real world'' they already have enough experience.
Your idea is good but flawed.
I could easily be playing in your ''Advanced league'' with an advanced caldary logi with Complex kinetic, Complex shield extenders , Complex damage mods, and a duvolle AR.... And this wont change the fact that noobs will be owned...
+1 for thinking a new idea though. |

How about CCP/Shanghai simply deliver the Filters they promised for Uprising for the Battle Finder?
That would solve all these problems; No vehicles, no proto, no KB/M, Advanced only, Vehicles Only, Proto Only, SP < 3M, SP > 10M.
All of those would make the matches much more balanced. Ooh, fun too. What a concept! |

My main suits have ADV weapons, suits and grenades, PRO modules, and STD module. I would have to create an incomplete suit to be able to participate in these matches.
They NEED to put high and low experienced players on each team.
They NEED new game modes before the go into "No vehicle ambush" or "No proto OMS" |

I think it's a good a idea but make it so it won't affect things you put on your suit. |

what i was thinking was limit just the suit level you use. you can still use any modules equipment or weapons. just so everyone is still working with roughly the same amount of cpu and pg. |

But they can easily use the same load out as you if they wanted and if they feel that its too hard they can always go back down to standard. |
