I don't ever want to play another match with an invisible enemy.... what happened to produce this little gem as it is the first time I noticed it.
Domination--- about to hit up a help/support ticket with the details. |

Be grateful they didn't have core flaylock, I played a match by myself and had a second occurence of this.... it was ugly couldn't find where the missles were coming from, couldn't cook a grenade and get lucky enough when a visible red dot came up and finished me and some randoms off.
I can understand over seas server lag, and lag associated with a new build being released and people downloading... this is just awful.
Yes, the cursor would briefly turn red when you were lucky enough to find them as spinning around didn't do much, I had to listen for a melee and a reload.
I hesistate to ask ccp for a comment as it will probably just be we don't know... since we can't trust what they are telling us.....
Still trying to get the math to work out, how does 5% of 6.6 not equal 6.93.... when ccp does the math... no matter if you do it my way of saying 1% multiplied by 5 or simply adding the 1% value 5 times.
6.6 X 1% ='s +0.066 6.6 X 2% ='s +0.132 6.6 X 3% ='s +0.198 6.6 X 4% ='s +0.264 6.6 X 5% ='s + 0.33
or as wisenheimer physics major tried to tell me I was wrong about over in the bugs area 6.6 X 1.01 = 6.666 6.6 X 1.02 = 6.732 6.6 X 1.03 = 6.798 6.6 X 1.04 = 6.864 6.6 X 1.05 = 6.93
So someone tell me how with no armor modules on too does the suit I'm wearing say it has a sprint speed of 6.91? What is the math on 0.02 meters a second... in this build I think I am going to want those extra few pixels to avoid getting hit by the spash from everything. |

Wow the small bus is filled up today for the field trip.... do you all have your permission slips?
I wouldn't mind cloaking because -- correct me if I am wrong here CCP... the plan for that is to render them visible when they move (run)/ interact with the enviroment/ fire their weapon OR if they get shot... this is nothing like that, this is a rather distinct problem with the game that is for all intents and purposes is due to the RECENT update, patch.
I don't know if the problem is on my end - meaning my whole team of 16 lost match sync or if CCP let the threshold for bad internet get so low that this invisible player lost match sync. Because lets face it you haven't lived yet until you face someone 6,000 miles away from you with bad internet that seems to give them an advantage in game.... like INVISIBILITY.
This has nothing to do with Cloaking, this is something I haven't seen in the game in 13 months of play and needs to be squashed before someone savvy enough figures out just how low they have to throttle their internet to achieve this regularly, kinda like throwing uplinks inside the walls or into the geometry (and NO I am not talking about the normal, the uplink fell into the map stuff, I'm refering to inside of things where they shouldn't be)
IF I was the only one affected by this, I would chaulk it up to the normal nonsense that is online gaming, but it seems some of you are at least able to see what is going on and how it has nothing to do with cloaking or spawning in and being cloaked/invisible for a few moments. |

Makyre Vahliha wrote:I thought it was the range that affects redberries in the distance. When I'm at the end of the map for sniping, it gets harder to see the redberries but their chevrons still float above their heads and I use range amplifiers to find their chevrons. So I take shots at them regardless of them being "invisible." It doesn't bother me, really. You might want to get used to it since they're gonna implement cloaking device in the next "build."

............ghosting is fun! Hehehe!
OK, let's put this to rest, right here since the last 3 clarifications of what is happening seems to have failed to sink in.
This is not a range thing, this is the enemy is right in front of you trying to melee, shooting you at a distance of less than a meter... it has nothing to do with sniping or an uplink, they are INVISIBLE!!!!!!!! They did not just spawn in, they walked in INVISIBLE and stayed invisible for the duration of the game.
I don't know how to tell you it another way, so if your limited intellect can not grasp the concept or you haven't noticed this yet, stop trying to make it seem like this is a good thing or that it is a feature coming along down the road. It is a game breaking glitch that is happening more frequently.
First game this morning and I had 2 players invisible, no where near an enemy spawn location and there was no someone just spawned in chime, yet people did to some phantom shotgun user. People have begun to figure out how to do it and it is becoming silly out there. |
