Missile Installations have infinite range, or so it seems. The Missile Installations inside my readline can hit the enemy MCC, I know this does not damage but it was a test of range. Proto Accelerated missiles and Proto Fragmented from my Falchion don't reach the capture objective (Domination) from just outside my redline, again done to test range not for combat effectiveness.
With the slow flight time of missiles, hitting anything that's moving takes skill and luck. Is there the chance we could see similar ranges on vehicle turrets? Since the missiles drift accurate shooting at this range is difficult, it would be fun to barrage an area from range...which would fit the described roll of Enforcer tanks. |

Is it done on purpose that one is unlimited and the other isn't? installation can't be upgraded so they don't care about what the players can't tweak to make better while on the other hand vehicle turrets can so thats where CCP stepped in and said NO bad vehicle users, your vehicles that you pay for can't be better then the same type of turret and swung the nerf hammer, hard. so yes intended. |

Installations do NOT have an infinite range
Fire it into the distance and you will see that after maybe 750m (way, way, WAY off map) the missiles explode.
On some maps the missile installations do not have the hostile MCC within Range.
There is a cap on it's range it is just very high (too high I think)

Bhavesh they do have a range but it is longer then all of the map including the air space extended redzones so it might as well be unlimited if you can hit for longer then map has space for. all that can see the hostile MCC can hit it, just not all can see the MCC to hit it. |

I'm ok with missiles having long range. Since it takes forever for the ordinance to reach its target it's easy to evade. I'd like to see this tested on the rest of the turrets. It would give an alternative to the tedious railgun use. |

Bhavesh I'm ok with missiles having long range. Since it takes forever for the ordinance to reach its target it's easy to evade. I'd like to see this tested on the rest of the turrets. It would give an alternative to the tedious railgun use.
