The Amarr Logistics suit is supposed to be the combat logistics role, as such it has reduced equipment and reduced overall high n low slots when compared to the other Logistics suits, however it doesn't get the sidearm slot until proto level and therefore cannot fulfill it's role until proto.
I've burned through over 100 mil isk since Uprising released n I don't often die more than 2 or 3 times in a battle, but at 180k isk per suit it's near impossible to make a profit and there's no medium to low cost version of the suit as it's described 'Combat Logistics'
What would everyone else think to giving the Amarr Logistics suit it's sidearm at basic and advanced level, they already lose a high, a low and an equipment giving them just 2 equipment which is enough of a drop from proto level without losing the sidearm aswell.
I'd be happy if it was just at advanced, I could make a profit but it still wouldn't fill it's role at basic level, it's already the runt of the Logistics litter being armor tanked and slot gimped ! |

I'm not asking for the proto suit to be profitable, I'm asking for the basic and advanced suits to be a viable 'Combat Logistics' suit as advertised. |

As out of context as you've taken it, not having a sidearm makes them unviable ... as a 'Combat Logistics' suit.
They should be an assault suit with equipment (not so much as othe logis) and in trade off they lose some high low slots n movement speed etc. |

Blind Cat wrote:I think the adv should get the side arm but not basic Thanks for reviving this thread, thought it was another wasted good idea.
Yes I'd have to agree ... I've since skilled the advanced Gallente Logi suit and it is pretty much junk at basic level too, so I guess the Amarr basic wouldn't be right to put the sidearm on.
But the Gallente suit gets good at advanced level ... the Amarr one does not !
CCP can we have a useful advanced Amarr Logistics suit please :-) |

Too late Aquinarius Zoltanus ... as I've said above Ive burnex through over 100 mil isk running the proto suit since Uprising :-(
dday3six wrote:Blind Cat wrote:I think the adv should get the side arm but not basic I agree. However then the only difference between the ADV and PRO is the CPU/PG because both has 3 highs and 3 lows. Yeah that's true, it might have to lose a high slot or maybe one of each.
I'd rather have 2 high n 2 low with the sidearm than 3 high n 3 low without it ... The sidearm is the only reason to spec the Amarr Logistics afterall. |

Nope, you're forgetting that the advanced version only has 2 equipment slots, which is already a pretty bad weakness as well. I think it'd be perfectly fine/balanced if the just straight up added a sidearm to the advanced version, and no other changes. It's easy to forget when it doesn't get used (the advanced suit) ... you have to skill Gallente to advanced if you want a cheap logistics and use anything basic frame for a combat but I skilled up for combat logistics ... and I have to run proto ! |

Yeah, the trouble with that though ... you'd have to give logistics suits more resources than assault for the equipment and you're back to logistics being used as assaults to get better tank on a cheaper suit. You'd have to solve that by giving all logistics bonus to fitting costs and increasing fitting requirements of equipment, but then your assaults can't afford to fit a basic injector or hive ... viscous circle :-/
Hopefully CCP will notice this now, we've probably got all the Amarr Logistics specialists commented now ... there can't be many of us ! |
