Im tired running proto suits and the only thing in a game that kill me are snipers or LAV ''murder taxis'' and tanks. (great going CCP, turning a dam* FPS into carmageddon)
So i humbly present to you, the most overused idea that every FPS has.
A GAMEMODE WITHOUT VEHICLES.
How about a pure city map, you know, maybe INSIDE a MCC or an installation with windows,pipes, doors , rooms,tables of some sort.breaking glass etcetc.... Just saying, since asking a Nerf on those ''Murder taxis'' players nowadays use since they cant aim for s***, would cause a lot of them flocking in here... Why dont you create a game type for the players that actually want to play a FPS. You know, infantry shooting each other? I can even deal with the snipers if you want....

30m is probably too short. That puts a lot of infantry fighting styles at a heavy disadvantage. Sniper, SCR, and the Rail Rifle (when it gets here) to name a few. Though I wold welcome a gamemode that uses smaller indoors-ish maps. |

I don't think we need an infantry only mode, maybe just more CQC maps in rotation. I still get those days where I get nothing but Manus Peak 5-10 times in a row. |

Regular Ambush sucks, I wouldn't mind if it gets used for this, as long as no other modes get the restriction. |

what about...
maps that would be made up of multiple rooftops, some with bridges crossing and some not, and only aerial vehicles will be allowed on the map, maybe M-TAC's when they arrive, but no LAV's or HAV's.
Maybe places like the closest objectives to your home base and MCC are slightly sanctioned from the rest of the map by not being connected with a bridge to the main map area. That way it will be harder to get close to the MCC or ground base and red line players. and the only way to get to the final objective would be to cross the gap using an aerial vehicle (speeder bike/dropship).
Of course piloting will not be easy on these maps, because everybody and their grandmother are going to be watching the skies for vehicles on this map, as there are no "death taxi's" to watch out for.
Another cool feature would be to add a second floor down from the roof so that some refuge from orbital strikes is available, but not complete coverage would be best, that way a lucky round might find its way through a gap in the roof.
lastly, I think multiple platform levels would be a great idea as well, that way the dedicated snipers can fight for the high ground, and more shooting angles and cover opportunities are opened and closed, depending on what platfoms the shooters/targets are on.

also has anyone ever considered a progressive gameplay mode like rush on battlefield (one of my favourite gametype's ever). just a thought. |

It's the people like you that make content pushed back. We need NEW game modes. Not new variations. You guys give CCP an easy way out with your constant complaining.

Then Make maps where it's easier for vehicles to move about, and less cover for infantry other than say small villages. It isn't like we have trouble moving through these maps as well. Plus, unless these are on a specific gamemode, that means that pilots are going to be left out without a role that they skilled up (still not done with leveling Gallente vehicles, going to work on Dropships next) to use on these maps, but if CCP does do that, all of the AV people with maxed out gear will go to these, and will ROFL stomp us. So, take out PROTO AV first, then do it. |

how is the current proto AV OP... I've hit an armor tank with 5-6 (incase one missed) proto packed AV nades while at a depot and preceded to hit him with my adv swarm launcher 3 times (the fit was using 2 complex light dmg modes), and he still drove off with about 10-15% armor left by the time he was out of sight and other people may well have been helping as well, who knows.... moral of the story AV is not OP, 4 guys AV'ing you, is OP. |

Yer murder taxis are quite stupid what CCP need to do is program in kenetic damage in which damage dealt by LAVs it determined by speed and what dropsuit is being worn by the victim.
examples
- light dropsuits vs LAVs should easily kill the scout but atleast do small damage to the LAV from the impact
- medium dropsuits vs LAVs should kill them on a direct hit only and only deal vast damage when clipped, as the light the medium should do damage to the LAV which is dictated by the amount of HP the suit has.
-heavy dropsuits vs LAVs should in no way instantly kill him, there heavies for a reason they want to hold ground and be a tank on legs. when a LAV hits a heavy it should do damage and be knocked off course (or destroyed depending on if its a militia LAV or not)
As for the people who cry about murder taxis yes they are a cowards way to kill however news flash you have more then enough weapons to combat such situations. Yet CCP do need to look into this for sure not just to stop it but make it more realistic.
New game modes??? heres an idea it is a battleground mate if theres snipers stay out of there line of sight and as for murder taxis and tanks look both ways before crossing the road and adapted to your situation stop crying and nut up... |

I already posted something like this and got swarmed by angry taxi drivers LOL, thats why i came from a different angle this time. Something like this PLUS vehicle restriction on LAV would also help....The thing is, in any other FPS a vehicle is WEAK vs AV weaponry, thats how it works. In these game, anything above advanced level laughs at AV equipment...
Or either balance LAV, or restrict LAV usage, Or give us an infantry only Game mode. Heck i can deal with 1 death taxi. Just not 4 of them at the same time in a 3 objective map,making it moving at all unsafe in the most unfair way... |

I thought the "LAV problem" allready faded away. I havnt seen real road kill in a long long time. Ccp is allready doing these kinds of things. Some of the newer sockets, like the big pyramid have alot of areas for infantry combat where vehicles get slaughtered. They need a place to play also, and I hope we start seeing even more vehicle usage in the future.
Is it just ambush? I don't play it much. The last time I did (first match in 1.2) was amazing. Snow plus I accedently spawned my av fit. Alot of vehicles out, fired a swarm volley at an aur tank, and atleast 4 other swarm volleys went right over my head at it also. No frame rate loss at all, just tons of glorious explosions everywhere. It was epic. |

I know that somewhere I've seen mention of being able to fight on Eve titans. That would be awesome, and would be similar to what you are talking about. |

TY for your time Gladiator will have modes with no vehicles.
All other matches are supposed to be themed around the constant war in New Eden. No-vehicle restrictions make no sense in that context.
