This is not an HMG problem. Anyone could have done the same to you with a different weapon.
HMGs are viable once again. Don't bring them down. |

It's DPS never was in question.
What was in question is the dispersion, that makes it a joke at ranges where SMG's could still hurt. |

Oh, cry some more. When I spew bullets at an Assault at 50m now, he runs for cover instead of stands and lol. The gun finally does what it's supposed to.
The only other gun that could have possibly benefitted more is laser, now that it's bright glowing beam doesn't magically stop before it hits its target. AR doesn't seem to have benefited nearly as much, as it was already range dominant.
HMG feels fine. You still have to work for it, but it feels fine. |

It's definitely better no doubt about that. The dispersion means that at 30m you're hitting the target with 2/3 of your shots at full damage, at 50m you're hitting 2/5 of your shots for negligible damage(at least that's how it should be working). |
