Forums > IRC for the dissemination of information since more people are on the forums than are on IRC Apparently though, CCP wants to encourage the creation of a knowledgeable elite. Information should be free to all involved in the game, not just those involved in IRC. Isn't there some way that the "goings on" on IRC could be posted to a view page on the forums?
Oh yeah, its as easy as copy pasting chat logs into a thread
But CCP likely wont do it, our "community manager" Mintchip is MIA, and some of the CPM have made excuses alternately saying the IRC is useless for any real information and then insinuating that its exclusive and if you want any information from it you need to go there and cut your teeth to try and get it |
