Strafe speed only further buffed shield tankers, who were already better in every way than armor tankers. This was just the straw that broke the camel's back. |

There have been no changes to strafe speed. The movement settings in 1.2 are the same as they were before. I suspect it simply feels a little different because performance is now so much better :-)

Two things: One, in third person mode, moving in all directions results in the same speed. Before 1.2, moving backwards made you move at snail's speed, and sideways at a lower speed.
Two, the reticule size doesn't change between forward and sideways. If strafing was at the same speed as before, then the reticule would change in size. But it doesn't, it stays constant from forward movement to sideways movement. I remember for a fact it changed before. If you don't believe me find Dust 514 footage, JonnyPew would be a good source I think.
Do you guys really QA or do you just open Dust 514, load up a game, and if it doesn't crash you say "Good enough"? |

Armor tankers got buffed by new strafe, if anything it's the shield energizer that's making shields superior to armor in terms of survivalbility. Lets see. Before 1.2, strafe speed was the same, no matter how many plates you put on.
Now it depends on your walking speed. So armor tankers are now slower instead of being the same.
I just destroyed your argument :) |

Nope. I just timed strafing and moving forward. Both got me to the same place from the same place, in exactly the same time. This was not true before Uprising 1.2. |

CCP Wolfman Proof that CCP doesn't know how to play their game well enough to know what's changed. For the first time ever I agree with an IMP. How are we supposed to trust Devs to fix this game if they don't even know whata different between builds? I recant my earlier statement, CCP is lieing to us. Now I want a respec since the flavor of the month is here to stay. welcome to the club! It's completely crazy they way they are treating this game isn't it? Indeed. |

Oh god the joy, the joy ! Unless they remove the speed penalty from plates AND remove that stupid limit on heavy turning, this WILL be bitched about. Because thanks to 1.2, Caldari and Minmatar are now EVEN MROE dominant. |
