This is one of my multiple ideas to help new players. I have created a channel where vets can help new players in Dust.
If youGÇÖre a new player, or want to help new players, join the channel GÇ£Dust HelpGÇ¥. I will try to watch this channel as much as possible using my free time.
In this channel, you are welcome to ask questions, answer questions if you know the answer, or if you want I will gladly squad up with you if you need detailed help. If you donGÇÖt have a mic, I have a keyboard connected to my PS3 to answer your questions quickly.
Here are my goals: Stay on this channel as much as I can to answer your questions Take new players into combat so I can show them the game Try to get CCPGÇÖs support, to make this channel a default one like EVEGÇÖs help channel -- Or at least try to get this stickied Recruit other players who are willing to help Keep the list of helpers updated in this thread
List of helpers so far: Cat Merc Noob Kitten (My alt from another project)
If you want me to add you to the list, feel free to comment here. If you are on the list, that means you will watch the channel as much as you can, answer questions and try to get newbies on their feet by squadding up with them. |

Shitballs McGee wrote:I started on modern FPS games with Black Ops as it came with my PS3 so I'm not a total FPS pro by any means.
I got sick of the stupid fast pace and arcade aspect to COD games, despite doing better on BO2 than I did on any others. I liked games like Killzone 3 and Mass Effect 3 a bit more but wanted bigger maps like there are in Battlefield 3.
I found out about DUST514 from a PSN email, tried it about a week after launch and I'm enjoying it. I like that it's free. I like that I have the option of paying a few real dollars for a boost to SP or early access to weapons. I like that you don't usually die in 2 or 3 shots while it takes a whole magazine to kill an enemy. I really like how much you can change and improve with dropsuit fittings, weapons and equipment.
I'm down to receive help and advice from pros but also offer help to those more Noobish than I.
Thanks for making this. How do I find that channel? Press Select on your controller. Use your right stick and move it left as much as you can. Once you do that, move it down as much as you can until you see "Create/Join". Press that, and write "Dust Help". :) |
