I run a G scout and I currently only have standard knives as a secondary.
There was an instance when I came across an M scout and he pulled out his blades. At the point I was thinking:
Chance of victory with knife = 0%
Chance of victory with gun = 75%
Honor lost with gun = 100%
So I switched to meh knives and took the death like a man.
Hopefully karma will do me a solid and allow me decent knife fights in the future

For those that use a secondary gun weapon what is the general consensus as working the best with the Novas? I run with SMGs(speced to proto with them) but I been thinking about trying to run with a Militia Shotgun to test the playstyle a bit. I also got 50 free copies of a laser rifle so I may try that as well for the lolz.
I've tried the laser rifle with an alt and it seems it's a weapon that I would have to get used to.
As for making a close quarters combat class I plan to do so after I get my hacker and sniper builds up some more... or the cloak equipment comes out :D
At first I thought it would make you completely invisible but a DEV blog proved otherwise.
The way they are going to make it seems balanced to me though so I still can't wait. |

Sadly since our number have dropped off the board and alot of well known scouts have switched to either logi or assualt, i rarely find a scout in any matches let alone ones that have blades. So i run mostly Dual SMG's and when i actually see a Scout that uses blades i try my best to change my fit and challenge him.
My primary suite is SMG and Knives. Although I use them defensively I will always whip 'em out when I see a ninja.
I have gotten in fights during huge bullet storms and raging vehicle warfare.... twas soooooo awesome dodging taxis AND AR fire while going at it. I only wish I could've recorded it.

Untill he put down a link so he didn't have to walk the map to get back an some dummy on his team poached the link an got me twice wit a AR , then I messages the guy to tell him it was a planed knife fight.
Tbh it made me love my knives again, I haven't used them much since they wreaked endurance in 1.2, which is a shame cuz I friggen things, I just find it hard to play the slash an run style I used to, but escaping just seems much harder.
But after the battle I took them into ambush with my sg an r/e an damn it gave me back sOme love for these things.
I used to get 15 /20 kills on average with them but then I just got frustrated with them, so disgruntled thanks for making me bring em out again bro I had a blast!
That was beautiful man
