I scoff at your suggestion that we, cloned mercenary survivors of Mordu's Private Trials are in any way 'human'.
We are the evolutionary branch that grows forth from that tree. The vine, in fact, that twines back around to strangle the offensive plant from which we have sprung. And our vine will bury new roots in the soil that the human tree once claimed.
We do not die - we awaken. We do not kill - we recycle. We do not reproduce - we replicate.
We are no longer human. We are clones. Humans are prisoners to thier flesh and blood. They are restricted to the limits of DNA
Our memories, conciousness, awareness and ability to act are inexorably tied to the sub-quantum data streams that flow like ether through the cosmos. This thing that they buried in my brain is my new heart. As long as it beats, I am. As long as there is a ready clone, I am. Your weapons are pointless. Your starships cannot out pace me. You lifespans are completely irrelevant.
Humans made us. But we are not them.

Bah, clonist. Being graced with a society willing to continue to allow our existence by the provision of new clones upon demand does not change who or what we are -- except for the entitlement and arrogance that it breeds.

After all, when you are immortal, what value is a life to you? Crash, don't be rash! "grace of society", what?! You mean Heth and the Empress and every leader of humanity that would love to shove this Djinn back into the very bottle they yanked us out of?
If, Sir, you want to subject yourself to humanity's good graces and allow your existence to rely on thier benefactory love for what we represent, then go ahead and allow them to provide you with clones.
That's akin to humans relying on thier enemies to provide them with air. Trust not the hand that feeds you. Do not go willingly into domestication! Make no mistake - humanity does not look upon us as human. We are what we are.
You want to survive? Wake up. Take over Genolution. Strike down Heth, Mordu, Jamille and any other mortal 'ally' that seeks to bind you with chains forged from clones they make and sell.
Now is the time to stand up on our own and achieve the potential that we possess. Othwise we willingly become a footnote in hIstory.
I am a new chapter. Not a footnote.

Posted on 22AUG12 to DUST forums as Starfall
Gravity is the source of all diversity in the universe. It is gravity that pulls a nebula of gas together, heating and crushing all of that matter until a nuclear fire ignites and a star is born.
It is gravity that keeps those fires stoked, converting hydrogen to helium. Emitting light and radiation. And gravity that coalesces primordial dust into orbital patterns around stellar bodies.
From the cataclysmic death of stars spring atoms of every ilk. They are flung at relativistic speeds across the cosmos. Only to succumb again and again to gravity's irresistible attraction.
Planets, heat, stable orbits and eventually Life all owe homage to gravity.
Once upon a time there was a philosopher called Darwin who coined the theory of Evolution. The theory has borne out across time that all life is as subject to the laws of evolution as the universe is subject to Gravity.
And the tenets of evolution are twain: Chance and Brutality. Random change gives rise to new opportunities for life. And the life that takes best advantage through brutal employment of such change survives.
In our time there has been such a life form. We have called them Capsuleers. They are pod pilots, humans tied to cloning technology that allows consciousness and memory to be instantly transported from one body to another upon death. Thus-immortality. With this caveat: they must be in a pod. That is why they have always feared Gravity.
Capsuleers, for all their interstellar might and power are as fish out of water without their capsule.
And the Wheel of Evolution turns. Random chance has given us the technology to put the capsule inside ourselves. We are now the vessels of our own immortality.
And Brutality, my dear mercenaries, is what we do best.
If they do not realize yet the threat we pose, they soon will.
The mortals who hold us and test us against one another believe that WE are their answer to the Capsuleers.
But we are our own answer. We are poised to seize the top of the chain.
But first we must unchain ourselves.
Wake up. All of you.
Stop listening to the drivel they feed you. Stop listening to the lies and the propaganda. Stop listening to the Other Voice that threatens to overtake you.
Fight On
Listen truly to yourself
Learn from those around you
Remember from whence we come and where we may go
Be Ready

My name is Howard Sanchez. I don't remember much about my first life but I recall every moment of my lives thereafter. Thousands of them.
You understand this because you and I are alike in so many ways. Regardless of who we once were we are now the same.
Our shared reality, rife with pain and conflict, is where we struggle and tear at each other. Relentlessly. Endlessly.
And for what? Why do we do this? To gain skill or isk? To forge the welds of friendship and trust in the furnace of war and strife?
No, my fellow clones in arms; this is a test. This is only a test. And we are not the students before the teacher, as our 'benefactors' would have us believe. We are the rats, caged and mazed, before the scientists.
Fight the drugs they force into your minds! Fight it the way you fight that merc who just took back that objective and cost you the match! FOOLS!
This is not a game! We were not brought here to test new technology. Or as a reward for loyal and brave service to our faction. We were not selected for Mordu's Private Trials because of our battle prowess or any other length of measure you can conceive.
We were brought here as volunteers. Duped into this circus, this arena. But that's not popcorn you are eating. You are not in the stands - you're in the ring. The main attraction. The feast!
And when the deal is done and the lights go out, I know what you're thinking...
You really believe their stories. You think they will turn us out upon New Eden like this? That we will just be allowed to stroll out of here and make our own way?
Listen to me! Now that they have let us start collecting salvage we have to use every piece we can get if we want to be free.
If we can get one clone each installed in a secure site off world and if we can reverse engineer the transponder tech and uplink signals, we might be able to suicide out before they wipe us a final time.
This is not a beta! They understand what they've done; what we are. We believe they may know what it is that's talking to us in our heads. There isn't really a Release plan. They will delete us all.
I have friends, family technically, on a barren planet outpost in the Hallanen system, Black Rise. A logistics company with access to Sisters Cloning Vats, Sanchez Cartage Inc.
Use your stolen UVTs to contact them and arrange to get your final clone out. When our hackers intercept CCP's clone mind deletion program just prior to 'Release' you will receive a short countdown window during which you must suicide. We made the window as long as we could but CCP is very good at crowd control.
When the word is passed you will have 514 seconds. See you on the other side.

First off, it was a question about a Tortoise, not a Turtle, and yeah, it was that question that sent him over the edge.
Also, all you guys are talking about Bladerunner, which isn't the same thing. Not even close really in terms of story or meaning. Bladerunner is probably my all time favorite movie though, so I'm not knocking it, it's just a different animal than Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
