This is a very low priority but a dual-wielding medium suit with a glass-cannon design might be an interesting dropsuit concept. To keep things balanced you could only dual wield sidearms, and the left hand will always have a significant accuracy penalty, plus you can't ADS. another restriction might be that you have to wield identical versions of the same weapon in each hand (think about how hard it would be to shoot an SMG in one hand and simultaneously shoot a pistol in the other).
There are thousands of more important things to work on (like racial symmetry and fixing the LR), but I thought it might be interesting to discuss and consider adding to the roadmap for a future expansion. Also the name isn't great, but it conveys the idea--I'd be interested to hear suggestions for that as well.
I know there are players itching to dual-wield, this might be a way to achieve that goal without being overpowerful. |

Sounds interesting. I guess I wouldn't necessarily be against a dual-wielding system, but if it's going to be a glass cannon, I'd rather see it as a Light Frame. I don't think I'd use it because I'd have to Sac my grenade slot (from what it sounds like) and the only viable option (due to the accuracy reduction) I'm seeing to double Sidearm would be dual-SMG. I haven't played Uprising 1.2 yet, but if the swap speeds are even faster, I'm not sure there is a need for dual-wielding if one can swap fast enough (like I said, haven't played, so swapping may not be fast enough). If there were to be dual-wielding, I'd rather see no accuracy penalty and sacrafice the Grenade and Equipment slots instead; it would make dual-pistols a viable option.I personally like the name you gave it because it conveys the purpose so well.
I've actually been working on something similar to what you're suggesting. It wouldn't be dual-wielding, but it'd be sort of the double-Sidearm quick-draw suit I think you're aiming for. I'm working on an Assassin Light Frame that will benefit Cloak users (of course this is also to come). I haven't posted it yet, but when I do post it either today or tomorrow, check it out and tell me what you think. If that doesn't suit your interests, maybe we could work together to design and elaborate on your Gunslinger Medium Frame (just a thought, you don't have to, obviously). I also designed a Recon Light Frame and a Gunner Heavy Frame if you're interested in checking them out.
Yes, there are other things that could be worked on ATM, but it is important for the community to look forward and help develop these types of ideas so that when they are recognized by a larger section of the community or CCP'S themselves, we have something to show for and something that will be constructive and substantial. |

You tagged this thread as [Request] I suggest the [DEMAND] ... I see the Minmatar medium suit (former logistic) with two SMGs and I MUST HAVE. MUST! ( http://dust514.com/media/concept-art/logistic-dropsuit-1/ )
I don't think it should be a glass cannon. It shouldn't even be a special suit. It should come with some grave accuracy malus but and as mentioned before no ADS and probably longer reload time than two reloads combined. |

The thinking behind the medium frame is that it should be tankier than a scout suit, and doesn't need to have the sneaky, low sig profile/fast sprint speeds either. It should should have a suit bonus to fitting requirements of damage mods or something, with a lower base shield/armor of the assault suits (still higher than scouts though). That way you can keep CPU/PG tight on it to keep the suit in balance. Perhaps glass cannon wasn't used appropriately, I tend to think of scouts as tissue-paper cannons, so glass would be in-between a scout and an assault, but you get the idea.
The way I see its role is like a close-quarters scout in that you tend to engage via flanking and ambush, but from 5-15 meters out instead of circling at point blank. You'll have a slightly larger tank which gives you the ability to take a couple of shots before having to seek cover. The Gunslinger dropsuit would be for people specialized in medium suits and so wouldn't interfere with the CQC Scout. |

or just dual any side-arm for any class just for the cost of sp to spec into like after proficiency there would be dual(blank) for that side arm and a higher pg and cpu |
