It's false advertising is what it is. They know that dust is leaking players every day, so they decided to cover up the leak by showing the EvE players and claiming they're part of it.
Smart move? Sure.

Not really. The number of people in a game don't make me play or not play.
The whole One Universe things, EvE players are a part of the world we're in, we're on the same server. So it makes sense. |

Keep in mind today is Tuesday, most people have already finished their cap for the week, and the patch didn't change that fact.
Expect a low player count on the next two - three days as well due to Wednesday being the awkward day before the 3x SP Event, and Thursday being the 4th which should see a drop in NA playerbase. (And maybe the 5th for hangovers)
After that however, the 3x SP plus the new patch should draw in a larger player base, as well as the Modru's challenge.
If they patch does land in early Aug as they are proposing then that should help maintain/ bring back players, and then the Tournament, should help bring in new players, especially if they find a way to hook up advertising to it with the Alliance Tournament. (This normally brings in a good sized number of new players each year as well.)
Overall I would say things are looking up. |

I am actually doing pretty damn well with my AR now that it has the added range. The standard can now be the versatile gun it was in chromosome. |

I am actually doing pretty damn well with my AR now that it has the added range. The standard can now be the versatile gun it was in chromosome.
