I wanted to state, on the record, that despite massive slacking off from CCP, I have implemented a system on my forums in which registrants must verify their identity in-game in order to gain access to the site. The site checks registrants against corporation rosters, and also automatically removes them as well. |

Access to both forums and services is granted only to API-verified corp members. Of course, it doesn't protect from spies getting into your corps (which is pretty easy, realistically.) It also connects their forum account to the corp roster, so that it's very easy to message people over the forums from the roster, stuff like that. It makes a few database connections automatically, and ensures that the forum user who registered really is the DUST character who they claim to be. |
