You are all idiots for the fact that not every single module might be used for your taste. See if you were a sophisticated person that thought it about other roles you would get something out of it one that doesn't give speed penalties can make characters faster like scouts and even minimatar users. Also the one which gives health reps and armour gives you a two in one instead of getting the normal 2hp repair you can put it on with armour great for logi's because they love there armour reps and also in smart user that wants to have the proto armour rep and the proto armour/&rep on a character with no stacking penalty so I mean it has it's uses if you had some above common since but now adays players like OP so they want it boosted just like they like the explosions of OP Flaylocks to the point that if you run drops your killed if you dont have a lot of shield also they do good damage to armour vehicles and if the hit LAV's or Dropships they tilt badly to the side so I mean the game isn't about OP things it's about having good tactics to help you overcome red dots and even blue berries. The Ferroscale modules actually help a lot and no one even knows.
It's on the forums in a couple places, but I will never give away my secrets :P |

Thank CCP! that I am not the only one who thinks so I mean there's so many good ways you could use them like scouts dont want the speed reduction because they'd be screwed I mean look no one has even bothered to comment on them opposing my statement |

I am fine with ferroscale, however reactive plates need a better approach.
1. basic should be 15hp bonus with 1hp/s and 1% move impeed. 2. enhanced should be 25 hp bonus with 2hp/s and 2% move impeed. 3. complex should be 45 hp bonus with 3hp/s and 3% move impeed.
At the moment, enhanced allows 1hp/s with 2% and complex allows 2hp/s and 3% penalty wich makes no sense |

that I can agree on that, that would be nice but I would say more of 2hp on adv and proto wise or have it effected by needing the armour repair module up to a certain level for 3hp |

Getting 1 higher HP armor modules and 1 speed boosters grants a difference of -5 hp and +2% speed boost over two proto ferroscale plates
Meaning ferroplates allow you to trade away a 2% speed boost for 5 more hp. Ferroplates are only one skill category and the above take two skill categories. So they have their uses if not to otherwise allow more control over your fits in the slots you have remaining.
Essentially they help with min maxing. |

They are useless when used with each other, for example stacking 5 reactive plates is impossible. |

who would want to stack them? lol plus I dont stack armour modules that'll just cause problems some1 who's slow gets killed when he can't get to cover or escape a horde of enemies They aren't for stacking except maybe the no movement penalty ones for scouts |

Yeah do you armour tank? Just wondering, if you did you'd undertstand our plight.
There is no incentive to pick anything more than the standard modules over the 1.2 modules, unless you run scout. |

So here are my problems with the new armor plates
Ferroscale isn't that bad. It's really good for helping a really fast scout get a little bit of a tank going on. It's also great for a fast shield tanked suit to have a bit more HP buffer.
The reactive plates are really only good for shield tankers too, as any armor tanker would just use a plate and a repper. all this does is let a shield tanker get a bit more of a buffer and have armor repairs while still having room for a regulator or cpu/pg boost or whatever else.
We needed mods that helped armor tankers, not mods that made shield tanking even more viable. |

Just mix and match all the plates. And on the gal logi stack 2 Ferro and 2 reactive 1 complex you will be happy with results. |

+1 OP.
That's basically what I thought.
1 Enhanced Armor Plate + 2 Enhanced Ferros gives increased armor HP, with negligible penalty. If you mix up the plates, you can make great combinations.
There are only two things I would chance about the new plates:
1. Let the passive regen skills apply to the Reactive plates. 2. Reduce the CPU/PG requirements to below that of the old plates and reppers.
The new plates have more of a complimentary role, than they do a primary use. Their CPU/PG requirements should reflect this.
The new plates are borderline garbage with the current CPU/PG reqs imho. |

they are armor plates designed for everyone but armor tanks. no movement speed loss , designed for scouts(yes there is a lil secret not so secret bug, CCP will splat that on their size 3 chicks feet), the other ones work better for a shielder, works great on my little logi.
In the end the armor loss from using these plates, does not gaige any benefit from the bonus they give |

I have an armour tanking alt, and I have a hard time even fiting these new plates. Only two of my fits even benefit from the plates (and that benefit is negligible, really).
In order for me to get any use out of the new plates (STD level ones) on my STD level Gallente Med Frame, I'd have to drop my equip and my grenade. Or just use sidearms. Or level up the three main Core Skills to 5. Either that, or upgrade to an ADV suit. |

Yeah... got the same feeling, when i tried to fit them properly on my Assault Suit.
Still.. have to do a little more math on them... but the overall "why should i fit this?" feeling stays. |

As they are the new armor modules only really benefit shield tankers. I'm not surprised someone likes them but to call others that have a different opinion, idiots is childish and shortsighted. If on the other hand armor tankers like myself had been given something useful the OP would most likely be crying at that. My understanding is the new plates were supposed to help armor tankers. The reality is for armor tanking they are useless. The cons outweigh the benefits. |

The issue with the ferro and reactive plates is that they currently dont fill a role in armor tanking. Like many have said, it only slightly helps to improve shield builds.
At the same rate, I don't feel the speed buff is all that important. 3% speed for 65hp bonus is hardly noticeable and it takes less PG/CPU to fit the basic plates.
I tried fitting them onto my armor build and they just don't serve much of a purpose. On my shield builds they also don't serve much purpose, because I stack regulators over dual tanking.
I think these plates serve a minor role in helping build some more buffer on scouts, but I don't think they have the PG/CPU anyway. You are better off fitting a std plate and then a complex kin cat. Which is something that was being done to start. |

Although the new plates are nice they are situational and suit dependant. As a logi, to fit them, I have to reduce my equipment to be able to fit them. Scouts and assault seem to benefit well from them. The issue is that they don't address the shield vs armor race. You can easily stack shields still, but these new plates not so much because of their pg/cpu is unnecessarily high. |

I reconfigured all my fits. (gal logi) every fit got an increase in HP and movement speed. If IT was an accident, I would call it a happy accident. I'm quite impressed with the outside the box thinking by Ccp.
Overall my survabilty has gone WAY down. If the now working explosion are supposed to evaporate armor users this fast, we need our sheild melting back asap. Like the chromosome viziam +2 dmg. Are we supposed to sheild tank our galente suits? I do it on a few fits and just a couple enhanced extenders are worth all 5 of my low slots.
