wouldn't it be great if we could just get our items to restock automatically? so we don't have to do it ourselves? so you can just set an item to restock if you die. get what i'm talking about? |

Ti Joad wrote:With the current reward system, this would be more harmful than beneficial. For gear with Meta lvls <4, things get really damn expensive. A full proto fit can already cost you more than what you would gain in rewards. Vehicles alone can also put you in the red if you fully fit them. I understand that the micro-management aspect can get a bit tedious, but it's there to simulate an interstallar economy and it's what makes DUST, DUST.
All I can say is either buy in bulk, or invest in BPO's. Thats why it would be an optional thing. |

You forgetting is not CCP's problem. If you forget, you pay for it by having to spend maybe 10 seconds extra (max) in-battle getting another couple suits. I'm sure you can suck it up and spend a couple extra seconds if you really want to restock your fitting. If you're using a fitting that much, just buy in bulk so you don't have to restock as often. If you are testing a fitting, just suck it up. There is really no need for this option. 1. you're saying ccp should not work to make their game more enjoyable/convenient/fun? it does NOT take me 10 seconds (max) to restock in battle i have to get more than just a couple dropsuits. while i'm restocking what if my teamates need my help? me being there on battlefield could change everything. 2. i don't have enough isk to buy a bunch of items at once. i have to join a battle to earn isk remember? (auto restock would be optional of course) |

(auto restock would be optional of course) 1) I'm not saying that. If it takes you longer than 10 seconds, you are just slow or your Internet is slow (or maybe the game). And no, you don't HAVE to get more than just a couple dropsuits while in-battle. If you want to waste time getting 50 suits while in combat, that is also your choice and not CCP's problem. If I run out in battle, I grab like 5 suits and keep playing. If your team mates need you, it takes 3+ seconds to spawn anyway, so what if they die in those 3 seconds? My point here is that "what ifs" are not valid arguments to support your points. 2) There a multiples ways around this. You can play militia gear a while so you can stock up on your better suits. You can try to start earning a profit so you aren't always losing money in battle (requires improvement of your abilities to play). We have Uprising 1.2 now, so you could just get a loan from a Corp or another player. If you can't find someone, I will personally loan you a couple mil; please just end this. This has ceased being productive; there are better solutions and there are other aspects of the game that need ideas and to be improved upon before we should start nit-picking. 1. i was NOT talking about dropsuits there are other items to restock on like weapons, modules, etc. 2. yeah i should use militia gear because its better than regular equipment, militia gear is not good enough if i'm going up against heavily armed solidiers. how much isk i get depends on how well i do in a battle. i'm not going to waste my time getting killed. i know ccp is working on other THINGS. i'm saying after they take care of that they could add this as an option. if YOU don't need this thats just fine. but i think its something that could HELP. |

That is my fault for not being clear. Nevertheless, there is really little to no reason why one would have to restock a specific item on his/her fitting during battle; doing all individual restocks prior to battle is your responsibility and is part of the game. 2) Once again, I didn't say that. Militia and Standard gear is viable when facing Proto enemies. If you want advice on how to use cheap suits effectively, all you have to do is ask. Defeating strong opponents is less about the level of equipment one uses and more about how one faces his/her opponents. The benefit of adding this feature is so minimal that its not worth it. Despite the coding of this being likely to take 15 minutes, those are 15 minutes better spent elsewhere. 1.its not beneficial? did i not explain how it COULD beneficial? 2.15 minutes spent elsewhere doing what? and since its 15 minutes could it be more beneficial than what i just suggested? |

2) 15 minutes fixing the Plasma Cannon collision detection issues. Fixing core game mechanics is more important than adding just-for-fun Muffin buttons. I DON'T KNOW. 15 minutes doing whatever CCP'S employees do to finish a bigger product!
Did you NOT read my other post i said AFTER they work on the important stuff, then later down the road ADD this useful feature. and it should be optional like i said before. you can just set which items you want restocked. maybe about every time you die each item will be restocked by 1. this will save time and if you use it right maybe isk. |

Samuel Zelik wrote:I did read it; the feature still wouldn't be that useful. I wouldn't mind "intelligent" restocking, as Vicious Minotaur put it. Someone mentioned the idea earlier. There is no need for auto restock, just buy enough suits. Intelligent restock would save me and most likely others who have many fittings a good bit of time and ISK. He said combining auto restock with manual restock. wich means using auto restock for certain items but using intelligent manual restock for others. like i said its not useful to you but it could be useful to OTHER people. |

Samuel Zelik wrote:When I said intelligent restock, I mean select the amount of fittins you wanted and the items are restocked based on how many fittings one wants, not automatically refilling after the fitting is depleted. When "OTHER people" is two people, adding this feature isn't very justified. Even looking at the larger picture, relatively few people would benefit from this. no no no no no no its not like that "not many people would benefit from this" is what YOU think. again its just YOU, not other people. please THINK! i did not say refilling after the fitting is DEPLETED. i said refilling once every time you die. |

Samuel Zelik wrote:Once again, twisting my words: I said relatively few.
I am thinking and this is the conclusion I came to. And it's obviously not just me, as can be seen within the first 10 posts on this thread. The current system is not broken and there is little to no need to "fix" or modify it.
Why are we still debating this? This should have ended hours ago. i already proved the other peoples points wrong, and they have not replied. this has not ended because you are saying no. thats how forums work. you really think something thats optional and that should be done at a later time AND something that could be beneficial to some people should NEVER be added?! sorry but something must be wrong with you! |

Auto-restock isn't beneficial to the point where it should be optional. It's more an idea that would just add a slight bit of convenience, like having the milk be in the front instead of the back of a small grocery store.
I don't believe in a universal right or wrong; don't generalize and please clarify what is "wrong" about me.
You are right about one thing; this continues because I remain. I'm out. Peace. flustered and angry? if i use a exclamation mark or capitalize my words i'm making sure you get the full message i'm not "angry". i did prove their points wrong you just don't AGREE like you've always been doing but thats fine. i don't have to get "dumb" people to agree to anything. you're trying to find every reason as to why its bad so you're too blind to see how its good. IT IS beneficial and it WILL help people. |
