 The 8x multiplier is insanely high for a suit with 2 high 1 low, and no grenade. Kinda ridiculous. I do like the suit though, tried it on my alt.
 
 I carried two GEKs, when one ran out of ammo i'd swap (weapon swapping got sped up as well), and I can outgun people a majority of the time without reloads. Pretty quick suit as well for a heavy.
 
 The Suit needs:
 Proto: 2high2low
 Adv:2high1low
 Basic:1high1low
 
 1 Grenade slot on all
 1 Equipment slot on all
 
 THEN it will be worth 8x multiplyer

 Its doesn't look like it due to speed and ISK costs. Commandos are supposed to be sneaky and fast and all that ****....this one isn't, also the proto variant costs about 94K Isk per suit

 Also, there are no Aurum based variants with lower skill requirements, making experimenting with the Commando very difficult without making a significant SP sink.
 
 I agree that the lack of module slots also handicaps the suit. I had hoped the Commando would make AV more viable and lend balance, but that seems unlikely. The suit seems tailored to a niche that doesn't really exist in Dust as it plays currently.

 you would need to go Proto to make the Commando Suit even remotely worth it. Don't even waste your time at the STD or ADV levels.
 
 The main problems are C-proto ak.o suit cost 94,425 ISK. You also become severely limited on PG costs then CPU which drastically hinder your Suit loadouts.

 one more low slot on all variants is pretty much needed.
 
 the Commando should have the passive skill that reduces feedback damage and the sentinel should have the passive skill that makes plates and extenders more effective.
 
 It seriously seems like someone made a typo and switched them. the std level commando suit CANT EVEN USE THE PASSIVE. every other suit lets you use the standard level suits better if you feel like saving some ISK.

 your reading starts on page three of the dev blog in the announcements section. The suit sucks for fighting in brawls/firefights. It is a very effective pairing with an LAV (but really any suit could be). It is because if you enounter a loner you cant hit get out and swat him with an AR. If there are vehicles about drive that LAV to a good perch (or use the LAV as Cover) and swarms away. I'd assume its good at sniping/swarming but i really dont snipe (unless i see a thale or proto sniper in which case militia sniper headshots work just as good as those weapons :D).
 
 So whats your playstyle is the real question? If you like to be in the middle of firefights Commandont is not for you.

 It felt something like wandering into a game preserve at random, and spotting a unicorn just inside the front gate. I should have taken a picture.
 
 The poor SOB went 2/10 in the match. I wanted to give him a hug... that SP ain't coming back.

 They think being able to field two Light weapons is way more powerful than being able to field two Sidearms. It isn't. From what I've seen, 2x Flaylocks + AV Grenades > AR + Swarm Launcher. Especially once you consider the large, slow Heavy frame.
 
 The only weapon combo that would be worthy of the severe triple nerf that Commando got would be if it had two Heavy weapon slots.
 
 As it stands, the Commando should have lower base HP or fewer module slots, but not both. And the ISK cost is simply unacceptable.

 I agree he was terrible. I still felt bad for the naive fellow fattie all the same.
  
 But yes, you are correct. 1 Heavy weapon slot and 1 light weapon slot would probably also be damn powerful. (Forge Gun + AR, yes please.) Was just trying to illustrate some conceivable combo that would justify the severe pre-nerfing that Commandon't received.

 You guys are probably using the commando wrong, me and a friend jumped into standards and went with a dropshipper, scout shotty and rail tank in a squad. We had shottys and AR's and could lockdown a skirmish in under 3mins. The advantages you get are range versatilty. Enemies get too close shotty comes out, as they back the hell up AR's finish them off. It requires a lot of teamwork to use but for fast paced intense games they are great. The added bonus of being able to drop into the direct centre of a firefight with the dropship and just unload lead is great but its a different playstyle to other suits in that you will probably die without another commando or a logi by your side.
 
 Plus its sexy as hell
 
 One low slot at standard fixes it
 
 Added grenades will break it, heavy and light weapons will push it a bit far in the OP direction.

 I had fun rolling in it too today, but to be fair couldn't you have done the same with AR and SMG in a basic heavy with more tank and same speed using catalyzers and damage mods??
 
 The suit does look sexy if a little iron man lol
 
 the fact it needs any fixing at STD is wrong and only get multiplied at proto
 
 grenades kick its ass (like theres a hidden dmg bonus or some ****)

 Just to be clear on another comment: I'm not suggesting Commando should be able to field two heavy weapons or a heavy + light weapon. I made the statement to highlight how pre-nerfed the suit is.
 
 I think the basic concept is fine, but that it should have the same number of module slots as every other heavy suit. The way it is, Milita Heavy + AR + Flaylock + AV Grenades trounces proto Commando at any task and in all situations.
 
 And please CCP, if you do nothing else at all, fix that price tag.

 The problem was that it got pre-nerfed because people complained "OP" even though they hadn't even fought it thats the issue with the game let them make the stuff before you call "OP"
