I feel like killing this thread right now so i will do the one thing that, so far, ended every single repsec discussion: Enforce a proper debate.

There's a lot of ground to cover and the issues presented within those posts (as well as other posts in that thread) really do require an address before any such idea should be considered for adoption into the game. Cheers, Cross FYI you can link directly to the post by clicking the post number. I'll link the posts you mentioned here, here, and here to make it easier for anyone interested. The above covers standard concerns related to unlimited respec (aka all respec that do not have a specific hard cap on total lifetime number). I look forward to your reply regarding the concerns raised in the quoted links. Cheers, Cross

If i costumer pays for something , in this case with SP ( which equals time. SP = MY TIME) and its not exactly was i was offered in the first place, i should get a refund. Maybe not a respec, but i want my 2.5m+ i spend in Scout suits back since they are now what i bough originally. Look up sony and dust EULA: No refunds.
While your argument is understandable by itself, it looses any traction unless you can convince SOE and CCP to change their respective EULAs in order to argue on that basis.
It would also mean that i and all "no respec" folks in general would be entitled to a refund when respecs were included since a fundamental quality of the game would have been changed in this case. Which is also precicely the reason why "no refund" policies exist in the first place: You cannot draw the line on just that basis.

Cant argue with that. Then again i know ''anti respec'' people are afraid that after getting a respec , many players like myself would stomp their heads, you know because we will actually have the most effective gear....? . So yeah you are right, no more respecs, for the sake of the Meta gamers that already have all their Proto gear.... ON OTHER NOTES i still think in UNIVERSAL COSTUMER rights that guarantee the poduct of whats bought, but i guess your point is valid since i havnt really bought anything from CCP... SP is an imaginary currency. It's not that i didn't hear this accusation before and haven't pointed out that it's a strawman just as often. The quoted section raised numerous important points that have yet to be adressed.
What i and others may or may not think is none of your business and immaterial to the subject. If you are unwilling or unable to have a reasonable discussion on this subject, and insist on ad hominem remarks based on stramen instead, i am not wiling to waste my time on this. |
