So far i'm liking 1.2. The game feels a lot smoother, and the new options added are nice.
List of pros
Hmg can hit from a distance now, not doing much damage but can scare an enemy off.
Snowy maps are really cool. Wish it fell from the sky though.
Logout option is very convenient.
Frames per second seems to be 30 or more at times.
Aiming is much smoother.
market looks different but in a good way.
Lav's are slower so av has more time to react.
New performance options are nice to have.
AV now shows how much direct hit damage it does.
Splash damage seems fixed. Maybe some MD user can confirm.
texture loading time is improved.
Headshot noise is cool. Can be loud, i believe turning music volume down will make it better.
Cons Shield recharger new module thing requires no skills?
Saga II is miles better than Sega I and requires no skills and is cheaper.
Shields are still better than armour, new armour mods quite useless.
Matchmaking is still bad. You're either dominating or getting wrecked
The better hit detection gives scouts an even harder time to move.
Close quarters combat is still a little iffy. But better than it was before.
Still don't have all the racial suits, maybe next update?
Still some minor bugs, including getting Dc'd.
LAV's are still a problem.
Caldari Logi still rules supreme on the battlefield
All in all a pretty solid update. New feature like the logout and the performance tuning are nice. Items needing balancing is still an issue, Shields are still better than armour instead of being around the same and making it more of a personal choice not an obvious one. New ranges are really cool. i give this update an 8.5 out of ten |

Spot on. This is a solid frame and I believe things will only get better.
I think we will see a few changes (and maybe even minor new content) before the next patch.

I can confirm that it is MUCH better now. Closest to Chromosome since, well, Chromosome, lol. I still have the occasional flux and MD round not register, but it has been few and far between. VERY pleased with 1.2 so far. A few of us commented that the game is just plain fun again. Also, I turned down the Effects in my settings and the FPS is holding quite steady. This update is a giant step in the right direction, but we still have a ways to go. |

Played a dozen matches tonight to get a feel for the patch.
Things I love: GÇó HMG actually does damage at range. It's crap damage, but it's damage. My furthest HMG kill tonight was 49.31m, something I haven't done since Chromosome. GÇó It feels like matchmaking has improved to me (different experience than yours, N1ck). It could be because more players were online when I played to check out the updates, so it had a larger pool to balance fights. I had some hard freaking fights. GÇó LAVs are slower. Rejoice!
What I don't love: GÇó Increased strafing speed. Honestly, just because it's harder to track the wobbling tapdancers than it is the bunny hoppers. I do believe it's an overall improvement to the game, though, and the game feels much smoother.
N1ck, I'd say the majority of your list is spot on. Uprising 1.2 seems to bring the fix that HMG needed. And the game feels pretty close to Chromosome in play style, which is a large improvement in my book. |

Increased RDV deployment speed and improved the intelligence of the RDV AI. (Awesome change.)

I was going to do my own review for the Heavies like usual but I think I'll hop onto this one.
I agree with all of N1CK's comments and have a couple of my own to add:
The Commando dropsuit is quite good, I was worried about it's lack of slots but I have transferable skills from being a career heavy and found it very flexible since I could quickly hammer LAV's and other vehicles with my SL and then drop back to my SR for infantry. The lack of a grenade slot is a hinderance but it's all part of the balance and later on there might be a different racial versions with one.... All in all I like it.
The new Armour modules are ok but I was under the impression that the Reactive plates would bestow damage resistance on your armour which would help with armour tanking. However I believe the Reactive plate were made with the Commando suit in mind since it has limited slots allowing you some extra armour an repping with only a minor penalty to movement. The Ferroscale plates seem quite good with reasonable armour boost for no penalty to movement but I've yet to equip them.
I found the gameplay a lot smoother however there were delays to me deploying at times but this was isolated to specific games and I can't confirm what this was yet.

1.2 is not that bad the only major change for scout suits is the fact that projectiles don't magically drop off and disappear anymore, which can be deadly when you're running away in a scout suit. I've also noticed if you're under fire and you run around a corner that the damage is delayed a bit as you take damage whilst you're out of sight. Also when you're stamina runs out you cant use the little bit off stamina to sprint as it replenishes. All in all +1 for ccp |

Actually, me and some of my mates found hit detection worse. But maybe we were just playing on US / Asian Battle Server. Need to test more. |
