Yea, well Shield extenders take high slots, which means the more tank the less spank. With Armor plates, now you can tank and push more damage.
Yes, Armor needs more love, but they are going to do it slowly. I'm glad they are taking it nice and slow. I don't want to see someone with perfect fitting skills rocking a Minsc "Full Plate and Packing Steel" Because then it would be broke the other way. |

It runs a good chance of going super broke, both of them do and it sucks either way.
A: Full Shield Tank with Regen, You shoot them, they hide, shields back up to full.
B: Full Armor Tank (No Regen), Damage Mods, You shoot them and it becomes a DPS race that they win from having more overall tank and more spank, but they can't survive a prolonged engagement.
Thats how I see Armor vs Shields supposedly working. And with Damage mods, you gotta be careful because they are alot more broke then Regen Mods.
And... If you can get a full tank with a good repper, the combo could break the game even more. So I always advise caution when dealing with this type of build. |

Well, what about Feroscale plates. Yes they have a high PG/CPU, but they are what I mean. They are the first step, but they made the PG/CPU hard so you couldn't stack full damage mods. Like I said, Damage mods are alot more awesome then Shield Regen mods.
If you give armor more reps, then they might as well be shield tankers. The whole point of being an armor tanker is that your tank is in the low slots, giving you high slots to slot stuff like damage mods. |
