Ferroscale plates apparently help offset any movement penalties you have from slower plates already equipped on your suit. I imagine this is due to it applying an additional stacking penalty to movement, regardless of the fact that it is of a 0.0% modifier on the plate itself.
Actually, when combining this with slower plates you can actually create a decent buffer while minimizing the negative effect the bigger plate already has. Maybe it should be this way.

Where are you getting this information? From the dropsuit stat summary or from experience in game? Because they have been different on some stats before. |

Stacking penalties should go from biggest to smallest (the smallest will be penalised the most).
This should apply from biggest to smallest in most cases.
However, like armor resistances (notably the assault dropship) and I guess armor speed penalties, it seems that negative numbers are sorted wrong so you get the most stacking on the most negative number, instead of the other way around.
So I guess it's just another example of a pre-existing bug. |

That's very interesting and if it truly is intentional I would be surpised. Currently I run an adv gal assault so even if I wanted to try to combine the two plate varieties it really wouldn't work for me.That is because I have three lows, and two have to be dedicated to reppers in order to keep some semblance of tank. |

The dropsuit summary itself. You're correct in that the stats have been wrong before Uprising, but considering the current system in place it makes perfect sense for this to be the way that it is. |

A bug that benefits armour? Expect it hotfixed within the week.
Meanwhile the bug preventing shield recharge delay resetting is probably going to stick around for the next year. |

Module Efficacy stacking doesn't work like that.
As it affects the overall stat while the second module only gives like 89% benefit, the absolute benefit is actually higher than the initial module. You only notice the change when you get to the third module with like 57% effect which then has lower base and absolute benefit.
Huge long discussions with hydraSlav's on his tool and my planner about all that and we got the numbers and charts and all kinds of pretty pictures to show it. While "absolute" jumps up on the second module the actual % benefit follows the proper downward dropoff. |

Discuss? If this I true is somewhat more helpful for us Armour tankers but not by a great deal since were sacrificing our already low Armour HP values which don't even recharge over time. So now to have a decent movement speed we have to sacrifice 3 low slots.
2x Armour reppers to match half recharge speed of shields 1x Ferroscale **** plates for offset the speed of our drop suits...
but in the scenario I can only fit 1 complex armour plate so the 10% reduction to speed is neglible and its not even worth stacking the ferroscale....oh thanks CCP give armour tankers **** they don't need while giving shield tankers another great module. |

The game is currently contradicting you on this. |
