That's not the point... The Uprising Build release file was 1024mb. So this update is actually BIGGER than the release file. |

The bigger the file the more to look foward to imo, and most games are around 7gb in size so lets not complain too much about the size of the upsate and be thankful there is one. |

You will be disappointed. As per CCP's new roadmap, they are refocusing and rebuilding their teams and working on the core game, improving what we already have moreso than working on new shinies. Performance, aiming, balance - are all higher priority atm than working on the new gear, despite the release of a handful of mods and the Commando suit in 1.2. |

It just reinforces the feeling that most people had.. That the game wasn't fully release in the 1st place. And that we seem to be moving forwards now... and not backwards. |

When fixing bugs, code can get messy. Without proper documentation, dev teams can lose track of what code changes fix which bugs. They replace our old buggy code with the block of code they know works - it saves time at the cost of space.
We are redownloading a decent bit of code that hasn't changed, hence the large file size.
That's in no way official, just what I reckon. |

Debating whether or not to take the PS3 into work for the patch. The archaic Sony downloader doesn't tolerate disconnects and the odds of downloading 2.6 GB over a WWAN without one disconnect are slim. Why couldn't CCP use their in-game patch downloader for this? It's way more robust than Sony's. |

I'm actually kind of glad they did it like this. Since they didn't use their in game patch downloader, PS+ automatic download got the patch for me, so I didn't have to wait for a download at all. :D |
