As a small corp that just moved into Planet Fight Club (PFC), IGÇÖll give my opinion on all of this. First and foremost, Se\7eN took the district with the intention of fighting. I truly loved the idea of one planet set aside for battles; where small corps could take on large corps, practice, learn, with no fear of losing their ability to fight again.
LetGÇÖs be honest, any corp in Dust can participate in PC; thatGÇÖs a fact. However, the degree in which they can participate is hindered by the way PC was built and rolled out. PC is truly for those elite corps and elite alliances. We can buy a clone pack and attack one of the districts and still get the GÇ£large corps, practice, learnGÇ¥ aspects. We canGÇÖt do that on a consistent basis, though. WeGÇöjust like most small corpsGÇöcanGÇÖt field 16 players every single day; we canGÇÖt afford 80 mil isk every single day; and we donGÇÖt want the pressure of defending every single day because it turns the game into a job.
I see PFC as a way to have 16 Se\7eN guys on the same side and a way to introduce new players to one of the most fascinating aspects of a FPS that IGÇÖve seen. Now, I know there are some serious issues with PC, but the concept and SoonGäó to come ideas are impressive. Right now, unless new players join one of the elite corps or new corps beg and plead to get into an elite alliance, there is no way for them to experience it. So, they will languish in the pub or FW matches, getting proto stomped.
What I would like to see is a mix of small corps and large corps on PFC. Unless a small corp sets up a battle with a large corp, the two wonGÇÖt mix. Small corps can practice against small corps; large corps can train their new recruits against other large corps recruits. Once a small corp gets the balls to do so, they can message and take on a large corp, just to test themselves. I can tell you right now, Se\7eN doesnGÇÖt care about getting stomped. We will message the large corps frequently to set something up.
I think the possibilities of this type of planet are endless: round robin tournaments, gambling, battles with only blue print fittings, etc. The only thing standing in the way is us.
