Only lag I have experienced since I got a SSD drive was latency lag, and was due to excess bandwidth being used on my end (or from cross-continental fighting).

I haven't had framerate lag since Codex, an SSD drive is the way to go.

I'd ask you the same question.


Actually according to CCP though, much of the "lag" we experience in the game (read frame rate) is not latency related.
Rather video, and likely polygon/vehicle. Which explains why it might be worse on certain maps as well.

I'll have to look into that. So in all the PC matches you haven't had that build up of horrible lag? Granted its much worse from a vehicle perspective when it happens, I wonder if all ground guys are seeing the same thing or not.

I have only experienced a second or two of framerate lag in a PC match back at the start of Uprising, been buttery smooth since then (with the exception of network/latency lag).

I was playing with WarRavens last night against a few Southern Legion players in faction warfare, and a good 90% of the players on our team were framerate lagging real bad in the middle of the city and couldn't do much of anything (some were lagging no matter where they were). I however, had no issues whatsoever and I was in the city almost 100% of the match.

It's sad that I'm now considering a $150 SSD for the sole purpose of fixing Dust's occasional absurd lag...
