Step 1: Develop new game modes. I specifically want to see new game modes separatefrom other types of new content because I feel like a variety of game modes and things to try is really the only aspect that will actually give Dust a high level of replayability. I don't care if it's "plant the bomb in the MCC" or "push back the enemy lines over the cliff", I just want to see something more complex than just shoot n' hack. New game modes just need to be interesting, original, and fun.
Step 2: Fix and implement things quicker. That infinite loading screen glitch is still there, and now it seems like we only get major fixes and new content on a monthly basis (which is actually pretty good for what you're trying to do). But the way you're trying to update isn't what most people want. Now, that isn't statistically proven, but I am using some fairly sound logic. If you were to give people the option to choose between receiving updates and content on an as-available basis versus a monthly basis, don't you think they would choose to receive it as soon as it's ready to be implemented? I'm not saying that the whole process of bug testing content needs to be rushed, but unless everything you put in the monthly updates is actuallyfinished and ready at the exact same time, an as-available update basis would be better accepted by the community and would significantly help the issue with Dust becoming boring fast.
Step 3: Prioritize the addition of new content based on community collaboration. If content that the community hasn't expressed much support or interest for is implemented before things of the opposite nature, it only angers people and causes fans to leave. If you have, say, 5 things that the community really wants to see in Dust, then choose the quickest thing to complete and start working on it. Furthermore, you can at least type up a list with the order of content that you are working on or plan to work on and allow us to reflect on it. The development process doesn't get much more "community oriented" than that.
You need two types of people for an MMO: developers and players. When they work together, great things happen. Maybe this post will gain a large amount of community support and make a difference, or maybe everything I said here is incorrect. But Dust isn't prospering. |

The problem are the players. Fonboys, whiners, trolls etc You can't keep all of them happy. Especially in FPS. Let me explain. HAVs obviously need a buff. But then everybody will say that AV is Underpowered. Many people say that ARs are overpowered. Well, if they nerf Ar once again, assaulters will riot. Caldari pro Logi needs a nerf, but everyone who skilled in that (50%+ Dust players) will complain. For example, I would suggest CCP to nerf every shield extender/armor plate in order to make the game "faster" , "solve" some lag/hit detection issues, and "solve" some really overpowered fits, but i don't think the community will like it! |

TL;DR version:
1) Uninstall the game
2) Devs destroy all evidence of its existence
3) Devs should also delete the system 32 folder on the PC they used to make DUST |

If you really want to save Dust, get a broom and make sure it all goes under the rug. In all seriousness, though, I don't think Dust is dying anytime soon. It's not really in need of "saving." |

That's why you go with the majority. There are a lot of people who are complaining about all of nerf threads, and that's why if CCP were to post their development priorities and allow us to provide feedback, we wouldn't have have to worry about an unnecessary nerf suddenly jumping in front of racial dropsuit variants. |

Going soley off of the number of threads about complaints and people leaving, and the low number of people online during prime, Dust could certainly be doing better. |
