The LAV Wanker The primary purpose of LAVs isnGÇÖt to run over people to gain kills. LAVs are essentially immune to small arms fire. Occupants of a LAV cannot be attacked or harmed.
Suggestions
Force better contrails so that sniper locations are exposed. Increase the difficulty of long-range sniping, and decrease common interest for sp farming. Longer range sniping = lower power hit. ShouldnGÇÖt be able to one-shot kill well tanked suits from 900+m. Disallow sniping from inside the MCC. This is just complete rubbish and should have been banned 6 mos ago.
Weaken LAV impact resistance. If theyGÇÖre used as anti-personnel devices for direct impact they should sustain damage. Shields can be weakened from repeated impacts, making the occupants vulnerable to direct assault. Allow defenders to target the occupants of the vehicles with weapons.
Also: Heavy suits claim to be able to withstand direct impact from a LAV, and they donGÇÖt. Why?
Basically I'm saying that we should discourage the use of these roles in the manner that they have been exploited by building some weaknesses or limitations.
Thanks. ij LOL No wonder you're new. You can easily kill people inside LAVs. Gunner is easiest; driver requires a lucky Thale's shot, forge gun or AV to kill out of the driver's seat.
The description for the heavy able to withstand concentrated small-arms fire. Nowhere does that say "able to survive direct impact damage from vehicles and live."
You also don't drive vehicles. If you ram someone straight on, no matter what suit they have, your vehicle slows down considerably, if not coming to a complete stop and gaining a little air time.
Yet another one that wants impact damage lessened or removed. Call of Duty doesn't have vehicles... |

You know you can pick the driver out of the seat with a sniper rifle right? Yep you can. While they're annoying, theres a few simple things to deal with them already in place. Swarm launchers / forge guns / av grenades / remote explosives / proximity mines.
LLAV's need looked at, the rest are fine. Snipers are fine as well. Logi LAVs need millions of skill points to be mediocre; greater than 11 mil to be fully skilled out to be fully effective - able to rep suits as well as vehicles, active scanners and the like, plus ADV turrets at the least. Snipers need little to be effective. |

Right now, it's clunky, and frees the camera to give you all sorts of terrible angles if you hit it by mistake. I'd suggest proximity lock, rather than aim for lock. |
