I'll would keep it aside and try every items in the militia stuff (module, weapons, equipments, vehicules, etc.) through and through and see if a trend in my gameplay comes out of it.
Experiment and observe before investing SP. Try a lot and over time.
You'll get to know what you "like" to play and/or what you're good at.
Read the skills descriptions and ask yourself if it will serve you and your gameplay. Then put your priorities in order and go ahead!

If you're undecided on path core skills you can't really go wrong with.
Extenders V is always good, great passive benefit and the complex modules are triple the effectiveness of basic, double the effectiveness of enhanced. Might get nerfed at some point, though.
Biotics if you want to go fast.
Electronics and Engineering gives you greater freedom for fitting, increases the potential of your unlocked suits.
ARs if you want to be boring. |

Exactly what I am doing right now, got exactly 2.4M Sp unallocated for the suit.
I only spec heavy, so unless I got useless skills to lvl5, I pretty much have a good setup. Even thinking about wasting some to increase my speed by 5% to show I don't know where to spend my point.

Pretty sure Alldin got all that already with is 16M SP.
He run heavy and medium withAR, some point in LLAV from what I know...maybe wrong. |
