Grenades with minor damage to shields, but temporarily stunts shield regen. Also stops equipment of all kinds from functioning for a small time and scrambles affected dropsuits' radar and perhaps HUD too. Perhaps have radar and shield affects on vehicles too.

Sounds like a possible edit of the Flux grenade

I was hoping it would fill a different role. Flux grenades do nice shield damage but unless you hit them immediately after they can normally take cover and recharge. Also no way to interfere with radar ATM.

A variant of flux grenade would make sense too.

Why is it in video games, emps are temporary? Emps destroy electronics. So effects would be permanent, until that clone dies at least. Removing the damage would be needed and they should have a low end blast radius, thus making them viable to use and no op.

I assumed that in the future they could have electronics not so vulnerable to EMPs and could survive the pulse by some means, or perhaps self repair.

So you want a grenade that does very little damage, has a few minor side effects that wear off? I'll just stick with one of the other grenades we already have that are all combat superior to this then. Have fun with you troll nades.

The nanites that are included in your dropsuit are shielded against EM waves and repair any electronics that may get damaged.
