Because I can't see the handrail blocking my way, or the corner pole tripping my toe, or the scout who is right next to me trying to stab me. |

The current FOV is too much of a tunnel vision and there is no SENSE OF DEPTH
also you can't track someone walking next to you because THEY GOES SO FAST OUT OF THE SCREEN |

It also has to deal with IMMERSION
tunnel vision doesnt give IMMERSION because you are not INSIDE but rather looking through a telescope |

Its a hardware limitation of the engine and the PS3. Might be better when the game goes to PS4. |

As for the ps4, it will still just be a port, so nothing will be changed. This is simply, or more likely, people that have never made a fps trying to make one. |

yeah, you're looking through the Dropsuit's scope, so technically it makes sense currently. What we COULD use is a bigger scan radius for everything |

These "futuristic battle suits" have onboard computers and sensors, that would scan a 360 degrees vertically and horizontally, with a better scan through this "fish eye lens" , because if your eyes can see it, so would the computer. |

But to the user, a fisheye lens is used to give maximum visual awareness so he doesn't have to swing his head all the bloody time. |

I have no idea what you two are going on about, but.... +1 FOV |
