New players have much more to gain from these events than vets. And many vets are taking a little vacation while things are sorted out in Iceland. Fair enough.. why not just do that event for people with 5,000,000 sp or bellow ? So much good could come of giving the newplayers a chance to catch up. Four of the five people who I brought into this game have quite after asking me things like "when will I be able to compete with some of the other players? after academy its a blood bath." To which I am forced to reply "well at least a month or so depending on how much you are willing to play."
We all went through it though broseph (<3 u 138!). We complain about it, but 90% of us all got proto stomped on back when Doug ugly had the most kills...at like 21k. We just played with our friends and had our fun regardless. |

Yeah but when we got proto stomped you saw.. maybe 1-2 suits in a match. Now its like 70% of players are in proto suits. Also proto suits in chrome were 250k+... now a decent proto build is what.. 150-170k at most? So when you killed one it felt good, now you kill one and it doesn't even matter.
TBH I saw more on the same names on back then, it's true less people were wearing proto, but then again all you needed was a b series honestly. Either way I think they should suck it up same way I did when I was using a militia logi suit and had all my starting sp into smg operation 4 cause **** me if I knew any better. I learned and got better gear...they will 2. I do hear ya on the whole ish with proto suits being cheaper now, cept heavies still cost quite a bit. Furthermore I honestly don't see 70% of suits in proto gear...I must not count them as well. It feels like it used to be, but I feel like half the old proto users quit dust. |

In house we've made a few 500k SP fits that can easily let someone with average skill stay positive in KDR if they play smart.
I'm averaging a 3.0 kdr on my alt toon that has 2.5 mill skill points. |

90% of 4,000 .. im sure if everyone who had tried the game and quit was taken into account we'd be looking at an awful lot more than 4,000 potential new players so 3600 ppl stuck with it ... if 40,000 quit then clearly there's a problem .. they have to make the 1st 5m sp easier to get and slow it down after that, you vets still have the advantage but at least the newer players will be able to compete without having to grind by losing for 6 months 1st ... most new players will accept that they aren;t going to be the greatest ever but if you've just been stomped for the umpteenth time by a full proto squad in the umpteenth game in a row knowing full well it's going to be like this for months there are vvvv few ppl who will stick with the game especially when its on a ps3 and they have other games they can play
This game right now doesn;t have a story to immerse new players into it which could make the getting stomped in public matches more bearable it is literally join game .. get stomped .. repeat til 200k sp gain has been capped .. stop playing til it resets on wednesday .. repeat en masse for months and added to this everyone even the ppl your trying to catch are still earning sp at the exact same rate ....
I disagree, they don't have to make it any easier than when i played ragnarok online and got to level 99, transcended back to level one and then leveled to level 150. They must attract people that want to make that sort of commitment though. Incentivize it in a way that is meaningful. I like the fact that you need months of playing to use the best gear, but that a person who has great FPS skill will destroy crowds on proto users in advanced gear.
