If standard costed as much as advanced, and advanced costed as much as prototype, there wouldnt be the massive gap between militia players and proto players that is currently sodomizing the new dusties. Maybe even have officer suits replace current prototype suits.. Basically, does there need to be so many tiers from militia -> standard -> advanced -> prototype -> officer that offer almost nothing new tactically besides allowing you to spend more money than your opponent for an advantage? |

I would rather make standard militia, make advanced the new standard, and make prototype the new advanced. Customizability of fittings is one of the game's biggest strengths, and prototype suits are the most customizable. |

lol, i spent all of my sp in dropships, and despite the shortcomings of my incubus, i love it. My friends however seemingly can't bring themselves to play anymore after the second week of farming sp. I also think that anyone could argue that militia gear should be less of a joke than it is now |

Everyone would cry about how hard it is to kill advanced suits and how all the advanced mercs pub stomp noobs. Nothing would change except the number of choices we have.
The SP grind is the worst part of the game.
We need battles that have restrictions on gear and vehicles based off of sec status. Let me choose what difficulty I want. |

You're trying to balance on a short-term post-release issue (minority of protos stomping majority lower-level).
Eventually the effects of Uprising ISK fountain that saw all items refunded for ISK value will dwindle (bolstering a lot of upper-end-casual veterans who didn't donate for PC) and most (average 1.0 kdr types) people will have to start managing their isk on the upper end, and more players from the lower end (post-release signups) will gain access to proto suits as the top tear is spreading SP horizontally into different classes...
i.e. it's self correcting based on community expectations and norms at the end-game down the line.
Basically... one day you'll be all proto'd out too.

Militia is a joke. But standard is cheap as ****. Use it. Then put it on an advanced suit and use that and as long as you don't die 10 times in a regular ambush (and learn suit management across game modes), you'll be fine. |
