Nope, the original DF came out in 1998. With full multiplayer LAN and Internet support. King of the hill, node capture and straight deathmatch modes.
EDIT: same gameplay though. |

AHh I missed that and the first one I played was the one I talked about.

For comparisons sake (and to keep on topic), my best sniper kill was a 1.5 kilometre headshot. |

A game from the 90s has better balance than this mess lol.
