Caldari Assault: Shield: 210 Armor: 120 Base EHP: 330(412.5 with max skills) Speed: 5 m
Amarr Assault: Shield: 180 Armor: 180 Base EHP: 360 (450 with maxed skills) Speed 4.8
That's 37.5 EHP difference in favor of the Amarr suit, .2 speed seem like reasonable trade off. Now, this is that part that makes me wonder if you were drunk when you designed the suits, slot laylout
Assault CK.0 Highs: 4 Lows: 3
Assault AK.0 Highs:3 Lows:3
Is the problem obvious yet? In case it's not, a shield extender offers 72.2 HP, the Amarr suit can fit 3, the Caldari suit can fit 4
Amar: 450 + 217.8 =667.8 Caldari: 412.5 +290.4 =702.9
That is a 35.1 EHP AND .2 Speed difference in favor of the Caldari suit. The same would be true if we armor tanked with a Gallenete suit, and while I haven't done the math, I'm pretty it's the same thing with the Minmatar suits.
The same applies for the Amarr logi, and I'm pretty damn sure it will be the same for heavies and scouts. Which is actually the reason I bring this up, see, at first I thought it was just because Commandos just sucked period, then I realized we we're looking at the Amarr suit, and now I feel better about the other racial suits
CCP, you're base stats to slot count ratio is janked.
Edit: I would like to point out that the Amarr suit does have a perk however, thanks to it's "high" base stats, and low slot count, the Amarr suits are the cheapest suits in the game, when fully fitted, they are also the most stylish. So thank you CCP, thank you for this low-cost blinged out coffin |

There are other factors that the Amarr suits have over other suits. Look at the recharge timers on shields. The combined more eHP and the bonus to recharge could offset the 1 less module. Don't look at the big numbers that most focus on. Look at the overall picture.
My only gripe is the Amarr Logi suit has more slots to fill than an Amarr Assault, yet the logi suit has LESS PG. |

Gallenete event is up next, and then probably Minmatar, clearly they're saving the best for last |

Then they should be given another low to reinforce that.

Recharge timers won't save you in a gunfight, Health and mobility will. It all comes down to play styles. Some people stack the recharge modules instead of armor because they prefer the stick and move approach. To each their own. Hopefully there is a suit out there for everyone. I prefer the Amarr suits as they feel more balanced and have the highest base eHP. This means I can do more varied things and always be stronger combat wise if I stacked hacking modules vs another race's suit stacking hacking modules. Yes, they would hack faster, but I would be tougher to kill. |

Seriously it's not hard to fit an amarr assault fine. Hell I always have at least 1 complex dmg mod thanks to the extra CPU and PG. Also the suit benefits from passive skills for CPU/PG and shields/armor more then the other suits. Also not to mention we're only missing 1 SLOT.
Also we're aren't meant to only shield tank you know. My amarr suit comes out to with over 550 EHP plus I have a damage mod on.
I've been using this suit since it came out and do just fine. The only buff that it could possibly need is a SLIGHT speed buff.
EDIT: I can also equip advanced grenades, advanced nanohive, and a imperial scrambler rifle. Also not to mention I love the amarr suit for AV (Again thanks to the increased CPU/PG) |

Giving Regnyum a militia suit and having him go 40-0 against a bunch of people in proto does not mean militia gear is just as good as proto. player skill and balance between suits/weapons are two different things.
And I'm well aware that you don't have to shield tank, but the Caldari suit has 3 lows too you know |
