What would be the point?
If you want a dumb fire rocket launcher.. go for the core godlock pistol, 3 round volley, super fast reload, and does 270 damage per shot. |

Hell, you could bust it down to 80 dmg per rocket and I'd use it. |

Why would you nit wanna fire rockets at infantry?
You could launch each rocket one a a time, or hold the trigger and release all four in one glorious volley(with a 1 sec interval between shots of course) |

I think that would be a nice addition. Would also fit into the lore for Caldari weapons. The only problem I could see with it is that it would be more effective vs. armor, which is already hurting in the balance department. If it did come I think it would be a cool variant to the existing swarm launcher. Definitely reduced damage than what the current launchers do and with a relative high CPU/PG cost.

eh I can see the purpose of the dumbfire swarm over the plasma cannon, for one plasma cannon would be hybrid weapon, while swarm would be explosive.
swarm could fire more missles, with smaller amounts of damage or something.
over all it would just give the AV weapon a small amount of infantry use, while the plasma cannon is an anti-infantry weapon with a small amount of vehicle use.

No, The SL was dumbfire and lock-on in closed beta as others have mentioned, it is now lock-on only for a reason. Scouts with SL's Just bunny hopping around firing at peoples feet. Its gone for a reason and hopefully CCP doesn't try to bring it back like with contact grenades even though they took them out because of closed beta complaints. Seriously CCP we didn't want contact grenades in closed beta and we don't want them now why do you insist on them?  |
