If I remember correctly they are a sheild that gives less hp but has a similar effect to shield regulatos in that they shorten regen activation time.
I could be completely wrong though |

Yep, shield energizer give a bigger boost to shield regen than regular rechargers but lower your overall shield.
Now, its interest will depend on how the penalty works. If it's a hard number, it will be good for shield tankers. If it's a % based penalty, it might be interesting for armor tankers that usually starts with a very low shield regen, or heavies, and commandos. |

Actually if I remember right from Fanfest they actually take away Shield HP to vastly increase shield regen ability vs the module its competing against. |

complex recharger is 42% , so my guess is it will be atleast another 20%. If it comes with a hard number for shield taken away and not % as mentioned... it will be godly.

I just don't particular think regenerating health in the middle of a gun fight is particularly useful. Scouts and Logi's would probably get the most use of it it seems, since they have the shortest delays ATM. |

Caldari scout.
What a shame.

The equivalent module in EVE is the Shield Flux Coil.
Expect something like a -25% Shield HP bonus for 60% Recharge rate Bonus.
Good for scouts, pretty bad for front line... anything (those would use rechargers instead if recharge rate is what they're after). |

If it's a percentage hit to base shields (like the core skills only act on base scores, not total with modules), then it will actually make the Caldari Logistics even better, as a Cal Logi's percentage hit to base shields would be smaller than an assault since most of their shields come from modules. |
