you must ask yourself..there has to be more than barren land on these planets, sure we have vegetation, grass, etc but if we

really want to bring dust to life as well as eve we should introduce native creatures (or aliens if you're comfortable with that

word) things that evolved before the eve gate. imagine the more possibility's we would have, fighting with against mercs only to

have a pack of native predators intervene and for some reason making the mercs band together for a short time to kill them. the

endless creativity. CCP YOU CAN DO THIS I KNOW YOU CAN. this doesnt stop at dust it can even spread to eve online

introducing more lore and excitement. even modes like ( i just made these up) eve contractors hiring dust mercs to capture

creatures for experiments and political even military gain. this can be something never done before and ccp can deliver it this is

just my thoughts and i hope ccp can see this post and reply, but i just want to know what the rest of you guys think.

Just to let you know, most of the planets are terraformed. So, no natural plant life.

Mostly. It means literally "earth-shaping", and the role in most fiction is to make a planet habitable. I guess there's no reason you couldn't "shape" a place to make it inhospitable. Seeding plant-life would probably serve a purpose in the sense of altering the atmosphere and building an ecosystem though.

I think it'd be interesting to have stuff like those monkeys or floating cows from Mass Effect planets. They just amble about... and die easily. It just made planets seem less empty.

Actually, separate from wildlife, civilians/workers/installation security would be interesting additions. As super-clones, we'd probably tower over them by a foot, and they wouldn't have the banging dropsuits either. The wholesale slaughter of rent-a-cops at the beginning of various missions would be an odd "realism" tweak.

In EVE lore there isn't that much detailed talk about native species, but I found this to be of interest.

If I remember correctly someone said adding things like drones/animals takes up just as much space as a player per unit currently so that's most likely why we don't have them yet

 We need these!

If you just want to liven up DUST maps it could help to put some moving "NPC" items. Like rotating radar dish, blinking lights, steam coming out of vents or leaking pipes. Water dropping. This would be enaugh for a start. If we had trees (i think there is mention of 2 new vegetation types in U1.2 patch notes) there could be birds perching on them and flying away in panic when we do our loud stuff...

This would definately add more "life" to DUST maps
Small animals, like snakes, lizards, spiders or roaches could be animated textures... |
