On a serious note, segregating vehicles and infantry in pubs might be completely necessary, at this point, if vehicles want to survive several consecutive matches, rather than not and to stop new players rage quitting bc their mlt AV can't kill well-fitted tanks, let alone LLAVs.
The obvious casualties will be AV, LAVs, and dropship pilots, as ya'll will only be useful in PC, for now.
This has been a very controversial solution to, perhaps, the most controversial topic for quite awhile, so I'm going to lay out all the obvious pros and cons
Parameters for implementation: *ADV and PRO HAVs be given to us (I'm talking pre-chromosome levels of power, here, but with 10 mil ISK price tags) *Dropships get an HP buff and small turret buff to a point where they will be able to survive a few hits when every tank can easily fit 2 damage mods, and fight back *VEHICLE pub OR only INFANTRY pubs- this means infantry and vehicles can only be on the same battlefield in PC
PRO: *new players ragequit less due to not being killed by LLAVs and HAVs that are too good to kill with mlt AV *tankers can finally get ADV and PRO havs without slaughtering the entire enemy team by themselves in pubs, meaning tanks can become powerful enough to play in PC without the fear of seeing a single proto swarm or forge and knowing they are screwed. *Murder taxis only exist in PC
CON: *AV becomes even less profitable, as they can only make money in PC [solution= increase ISK reward for vehicle kills 1000% and decrease weapon cost 40%] *LAVs and DS's can only be deployed in PC, so they cannot be roles in and of themselves- at all. [solution= Make them 60% cheaper]
Again, I understand that this idea is generally only proposed by noobs, so I'm trying to see what the community thinks of it now that I have fleshed it out so it hurts everyone a little bit less. (sorry AV, I tried to make it easier as best I could, as I dont want any roll to be unprofitable)
Please, I want everyone to tell me if this is as awful as I originally thought it was or if there is some twilight sparkle of hope here to make dust 20% cooler. Thanks /] [\ |

But, popping LLAVs and hunting HAVs is half the fun of pubs (other half being blowing up snipers with REs).

If it cost 10 mil isk it should take a whole team to take it out -_- The current HAVs cost on average 700,000-900,000 And you want a the barely better versions of these to be call proto and cost 10 mil. You're the most unbiased person I have ever met dude. Brilliant!

Leave current matches as is (in regards to this, still fix the issues...). Add an infantry only tab/category/matches. Add a vehicle only tab/category/matches.
Bam. Something for everyone. I just don't want to be hamstrung into not hunting vehicles in pubs. I like blowing spammed lavs up.

I dont like tge idea of seperating vehicles from my meat shield... cough cough.. I mean infantry as a shield tanker I rely heavilly on my squad for support as they do me. If the enimy team dosent bring av to the field its every one of their faults as this role can be carried out by every merc. Its just as iv said to my officers when they are running squads with out tank support then it is every mercs duty to be prepaird with at least ruadmentry av . If they dont have at least malitia av setups then they are nothing but usless blueberries when faced with vehiclular opposition. All squads from my corp have designated av that can be anywgare from 6 malitia swarm and forge rambos too fully specked av experts. Av is a roll like any other the more you out into it the more you get out of it. Rant over..
Best sollution ive seen is just create vehicle free equivalents of ambush and skirmish but on a smaller scale maps. This would stop all the whiny cod boys from ruining any more vehicles as they'll all be happy running the COD514 no vehicle modes. |

Dude there has been countless proto hav threads as wr really do need them . And most dedicated tankers I know would happily pay 8mill+ for true prot hav hulls. Yes they would require the teamwork of at least 3 proto avers to destroy but thats balance. I would pay 10 mill for a fully kitted true proto tank any tanker worth their salt would.

Never saw the issue with Tanks or AV.
If you are infantry and can't AV then you avoid tanks.
If you can then you can pursue but still have to be careful.
If you are a tank then kill all infantry, hide when being AVed.

Issue is a lot of tankers want to go back to the early builds when a tank was god mode, they cant handle being mortal like the rest of us |

No we dont want god mode we just want proto havs that can stand a real chance against proto av. |

This is a great idea for a lore based game, both you and the enemy (Who are in a life and death struggle) both sit down and agree that neither of you will use vehicles or that you will only use vehicles. And then you show up with all your men on foot..... And we run you all over with our cars and blast you with our red line sniper tanks.

Charlotte, since uprising came out I have averaged 28 kills per death. That includes PC, so it isn't as bad as you would pretend. Just get better, and stop asking for god mode.
Pretty much the only time I die is when I make a mistake, or the enemy sends a squad to hunt and trap me.

Exactly, I am really apposed to this idea. It would also **** off av players who have placed a lot of skill points into av. Maybe if the original options were still available. I like fighting infantry a lot more than fighting tanks. The amount of concentrated railgun fire you would see is what will make that game mode fail. |

If you put a 10 mil price tag on a tank in dust it better be some daedalus class of HAV that is the size of 4 gunlogis put together with a massive rail gun/blaster and uses 4 large turrets in the place of smaller turrets.
Of course the size would come at the cost of speed and maneuverability |
