I can on my alt and single turn the tide of battle. My tanks with 12m SP banked into them are just a risk and get destroyed against a decent team.
I make 500k+ isk running on the ground. I enjoy the gamplay and can easily pull of games where I do not lose my life and get high kill counts. running a 4.5m alt. I played against all proto team and had a chance to stand my ground with just a advanced suit.
Since February vehicle gameplay has been broken and enjoyable. Something that should be one of the most important assests in the field has become something that is not needed to succeed.
CCP **** poor match making has created nerf babies all over something that should not be in their game in the first place. And has slowly destroyed the value of balancing teams and creating overall strategy that challenges the creativity of Field Commanders
Maybe one day vehicle gameplay will come back but for now you will probably never see me on my main again. Going to log in on my alt and play where I can enjoy the game on the ground as another boring infantry guy. Oh for ****'s sake will you all just SHUT UP?!

You can tell me to shut up when you actually come on the forums and post something reasonably intelligent. Just because I care about making a more dynamic game that would change boundaries from the INFANTRY only style every other game out their has. Sorry I am going to post and call CCP out. Not going to shut the **** up like the rest of the sheep out there. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm willing to bet I've been here longer than you, and you obviously weren't around for the massive posts I put together proposing a system of capturing wards for individual matches spread across Districts in order to affect a capture, rather than the current system we have now of one battle based on a 24-hour timer.
Or my suggestion of not only using multiple battlefields in a single District to keep reasonable player counts while allowing the feeling of being part of a larger war, but also allowing aircraft like Fighters to move from Ward to Ward to provide air support across an entire District.
And then there was my most recent post envisioning a fully-fledged EVR allowing players of that game to not only fly their fighter craft in EVE battles, but also to fly down in the atmospheres of planets, provide heavy air-strikes for Dust players, and even engage them directly in their Fighters.
Do those qualify?

Do those qualify? Grow up. Well I have been playing Since April of 2012. So nope. And none of those look intelligent and factors to improving dust current dynamics. Oho, my apologies, then we joined at the same time.
What current dynamics are you referring to, by the way? There's a lot of topics that would fit under that umbrella.
All that is beside the point though. You probably didn't watch the E3 interview CCP Praetorian did, but vehicle balance is something they are actively pursuing, as well as trying to get the full racial set of vehicles out. Making inflammatory posts because your asset category isn't listed for the next update just comes across as childish.
Besides, you can just leave your Passive SP ticking on your main while you play on your alt, which makes perfect sense to me, and just refrain from putting up threads about **** no one cares about. |

I'll post the link to my previous thoughts on this matter, I totally agree that CCP needs to fix their match making. Currently it is a gaint fail system. That throws noobies into proto matches. And even when they fix things in the future. Their fix is going to destroy friends playing with friends that just joined because they are going to drag them into a proto match. I posted a well thought out system last year around this time and CCP gone the opposite direction again. I do not mind tanks need teamplay. I think that is great. But AV should also take teamplay. What I do mind is that if I put my SP into ground pounding I could go 20+ kills in matches with good squads on the other team. while pulling 30-40 kills against scrubs. I would be able to make out on isk 90% of my games. And overall be in the 100s of mill isk with out effort. Means I choose vehicles and probably a top 10 player in tanks. I am still broke only have good games playing against millitant scrubs if I go against a good squad I should expect to go negative or hide in the redline the whole match to go possitive with a rail. Yet people call me a cry baby. Tell me to shut up. You suck. Get skill. If you think people are disagree with you about the vehicle AV imbalance, the only people who will are the morons.
This perception that the only way the game is balanced is if I can switch to my free, unlimited fit and kill your 2.6 mil HAV by myself is just ********.
How does having AV as a specialization equate to everyone freaking out if they have to actually specialize into it to counter someone who specs into vehicles?
As someone who's been a vehicle specialist myself ever since I got in this game, that one thing bugs me the most, right next to giving everyone unlimited quantities of a SEEKER WEAPON.
I mean, that's just such stupid faceroll that I don't even have words for it. |

Vehicle costs at least need to be lowered to be affordable for an average battle. I usually lose a 700,000 ISK assault dropship once every 2 battles. With the terrible pilot WP, I ony make about 100,000 ISK, so I lose 600,000 overall.
However, as infantry, I can easily make 180,000 a battle while only losing about 100,000 But they weren't in the right venues. CCP can't balance based on newbs in pub matches. I think the requirements to "graduate" from Instant Battle Academy should be significantly raised, or else remove the WP factor completely. |
