ok so imagine it, you are joining a regular pub match to try reaching your sp cap, you pick your fit and spawn and head to the first objective, its all clear and you have first dibs on the +100 wp, still no snipers or LAV's or anything you notice your team isnt here either so you figure everyone is off to a blood bath zone, you continue to objective after objective until you finish every hackable item on the map, you look up and see dozens of clones the size of ants hiding in their precious mother ship.

I AFK sometimes, when I lose my 1.7 mil ISK tank to a few swarms I get pissed off naturally and just AFK in skirmish until I get back the ISK I lost then I go back to killing people |

Sometimes if I run a tank, notice 2 or 3 railgun sniper tanks on the mountains, really no point to be a tanker on the team, when enemy team has pure firepower... |

I only afk when forced to by extreme circunstance (like being hungry, thirsty, or whatever pops into my mind  )
That being said, staying on the mother ship is a mildly viable strategy for some things other than afking  |

I only AFK if I have no other choice. That said, that is hardly ever, and when I do, it's at the worst possible times (like when I'm in the open). |

why on earth are you using a tank that costs almost 2 mil without logi support?????

One time the other side had swarmed the map and were nipping at the edge of the redline - and I saw one dude very carefully summoning LAV's and then neatly reverse parking them into the bays inside the redline.
I eventually stole one of his cars, drove to the other end, captured an objective (for all of 20 seconds no doubt) then managed to actually drive back and park it (though I forward park - I'm a newb).
AFK needs a little pazazz if your pinned down into doing so... |
