It always amazes me that people are worrying about how stuff like jets and MTACs will function when CCP can't get even the simplest things to work properly.
Let's wait for them to fix stuff like lag, framerate, the inability to walk up small inclines, taking shield damage for dropping down 3 feet, hit detection, controller dead spots, you know, all of the stuff that should have been top priority from day one,so that it doesn't feel like we are still playing a beta.

But dropships need a little fix first, like increasing it's shields and armor, speed, and maneuverability. The controls need a tweak too, something like, L2/R2 to reduce or increase the power on the turbines, making the dropships move, the turbines should be controlled by the joysticks, as well the dropship's body.
Absolutely not!
I don't understand why people keep wanting to make dropships into air tanks, when they are essentially nothing more than gunned transport.
They are the equivalent of a Huey helicopter. http://militaryfactory.com/aircraft/imgs/bell-uh1-iroquois-huey.jpg There's absolutely no reason that they should be more maneuverable than they already are. The problem with them is that people continue to want to use them in a way that was never intended.

In addition, I think we're at a point in our balance discussions where we need to start talking about vehicle ammo limitations again.
I totally agree, but I'm sure if that happened it would be received with an ungodly amount of b!tching and moaning from tank and dropship guys.
I was just telling a teammate yesterday, why should tanks have unlimited ammo and not infantry? Doesn't really make a lot of sense when you stop and think about it.
I think making a tank reload at a supply depot on an average of three times per match(a full length skirmish),that would make protecting/destroying supply depot even more critical, plus would greatly reduce tank sniping.
Again, simple things that CCP is overlooking in favor of adding more content and AUR items. They need to fix what's broken first.
