I won't even get into the nerfs and all that QQ stuff we've spoken about 1000's of times. I wanna talk about the LACK of suit choice.
Sorry CCP, being frank the Commando suit is worthless for people waiting on the other racial heavy suits. To make things even better, the Commando suit is Amarr...at least from the pictures I've seen, and why not. It's the same frame to copy / paste, just change the colors.
I understand 3D rendering isn't the easiest of things to do, but tell me how can a class, the Assault, get ALL 5 RACES, while the heavy gets 1 race, the same race it's had since the inception of DUST, and the scout gets slightly more love with another race added to give them a choice of 2 races to pick from.
The logi class also gets all 5 races, though they look the same as the assault only with yellow paint. I don't know if that's a place holder or if that's how they're meant to be. If they're a place holder, then AT LEAST give heavies the choice to spec into a different race even if it's place holder.
I can't tell you the frustration I dealt with when i found out that there was only 1 race to pick. I'm literally being forced to choose Amarr if I wanted to use the HMG.
I wonder if the heavies got all the races and the assault got 1, how things would have played out. Fact is people don't care what's fair so long as they get what want in the end. "Oh heavies only got 1 race? ha! lol! so what, I got what I want!"
just pointing out how badly you're treating Heavies and Scouts CCP, and with no ETA or anything on these things, it just makes the issue slightly more irritating.
I'm sure there's some people looking fwd to the commando suit. I'm not. I appreciate you took the time to post the DevBlogs and keep us in the loop... to a point. |

Valid points all around, although there are only 4 races, which I assume is just a typo in your post.
I definitely hope that the logi suits are only placeholders, it would be much more impressive to have a bit more visual variety, although I'd say this should be last in the queue to address after the remaining heavy and scout suits are deployed.

Better use MD/AR combo if you want any hope lol I'm banking on Breach and Burst ARs, personally. Breach should be useful once more if this range system works. |

Agree completely with OP. Also they keep giving shield stuff which doesn't help heavies out, energizers really? Cal Logi is going to be harder to crack than a Heavy which is wrong. |

For the most part, we want to focus on getting things like aiming and movement right and fun before we turn back to filling out these roles. Getting those nailed down has been one of the major pieces of feedback we've heard from players and reviews of the game following the Uprising deployment.
This would only make me feel better if I didn't know you were adding new Roles and new Modules. The only reason this issue hasn't received more attention than it has is because the Medium Classes and Roles have all variants. If the shoe were on the other foot and the Light Class/Scout/Pilot and Heavy Class/Sentinel/Commando had all Racial Variants while the Medium Class/Assault had only Caldari and the Medium Class/Logistics had only Minmatar and Gallente you can bet the farm these forums would be on fire with nearly every single player in the game complaining about not having all dropsuit choices available to them upon release and demanding that this be rectified immediately.[/uote CCP Eterne wrote:There will be teams that are still working on the other dropsuits, don't worry. However, they aren't coming out in the immediate point releases that the dev blog is talking about. Well now we know when they're not coming! Master Jaraiya wrote:Don't get me wrong, I greatly appreciate all of the hard work you guys are putting into the game, as well as the concerted effort at communicating more with the community. I do honestly feel that having all of the Racial Variants of all currently existing classes of Dropsuits and Vehicles should be more of a priority than adding new Roles of Dropsuits and Vehicles. At the very least could someone in the know comment on this. If something like that is possible or in the works for the rapid fire updates? Is out of the question completely? Letting this segment of the community know something would definitely not go unnoticed. [quote=CCP Eterne] Dissapointing |

Word.... not spending any SP on scout suits until I see what Caldari and Amarr have to offer. At least I know that with Amarr, I can die in style and looking good..... |

they did mediums first because those are the basic suits everyone is supposed to start with.
- all the starter suits are medium - mediums require the least sp - mediums are the most all-around useful
lights and heavies are not totally useless but they are much more situational. i whip out my heavy suit at appropriate times but i can't run it 24/7 (e.g. team not doing dropping enough drop links).
so it's not three equal classes where one is done and the others aren't. it's that the main class (medium infantry) is done and they're still fleshing out the more specialized stuff. |

No they're still "fleshing out" the Medium class with new module choices and Racial Light Weapon Variants, while pretty much ignoring the others.
Granted Heavies can use these modules, with the extremely limited slot layout of the Amarr, it isn't really viable because we need those slots to maximize our HP.
Lets face it the Commando though technically a Heavy Role, caters more to the Medium Class players (two light weapons) than it does to the Heavy Class Players (BFGs).
All heavies have is LOLHP and LOLHMG and a big fat slow moving hitbox. Seems they designed the heavy simply to give the AR scrubs something easy to kill. |

All they need to do is replace the amarr heavy iwth a Cladari.
Since shields are pretty much the only way to go, they at least could be done with upgrading the heavies at that point. |

That 's not how it was in chromosome, there's supposed to be 4 basic classes, there's now 3, with logi's being kicked off into a side class.
All starter fits use medium suits you say? That probably has something do with only those suits being in the game, CCP just found it easier to get rid of starting specializations than getting the other suits in |

Each Class is supposed to have 2 roles
Heavy Class - Sentinel, Commando Medium Class - Assault, Logistics Light Class - Scout, Pilot
