Some time this week the PCU of dust almost certainly drop below 5,000 maximum PCU.
Not only is that a bad look it probably breaks match making making it even harder for new players to play.
The floor though is not zero. Long before that dust is almost certainly unprofitable, with no clear way out and the PS4 looming.
What do you think the floor is and is this having an impact on you as a player and/or the people you know? |

We already "hit" the floor, now we digging our way through to the basement. All the Fanboys are waiting for us in there.
Seriously, a player base of bellow 5000 in "PICK" time, its horrible numbers for a F2P game. |

What impact is this having on me as a player huh
Disappointment that what could have been a fun game was bungled so badly by its dev team after they spent years working on it But Im not that broken up over it, there are plenty of fun games out right now and hell some of them are even free and more polished than this and thats not even getting into the games shown off at E3 Im looking forward to
Hell just MGS 5, Killer is Dead, and Bayonetta 2 could keep me happy for weeks and come from 3 dev studios that know how to do their **** unlike CCP |

Traditionally is when EU players meet USA players; 5:00 pm GMT to 10:00 pm GMT. |

Perhaps you meant "peak" times. You need to give your ESL teacher a stern talking to. |

That is USA peak time... and that only shows how badly CCP is failing to appeal to EU players. |

Please refer to a thread called "Financial info" as it has a link to CCP accounts ending 31.12.2012. The link found below was provided by PonyClause Rex.
http://www.ccpgames.com/media/47002/ccp%202012%20consolidated%20financial%20statements.pdf
I think that if this project is terminated it will not be based on player count but on whether the company looses hope in turning things around.
This is based on the fact that if you look at their accounts for the period ending 31.12.2012 they appear to be making a massive financial loss on Dust 514. It looks like they are spending millions on Dust but I very much doubt the revenue they receive from Dust comes even close to the expensives incurred in developing the game. Particularly look at the significant increase in the R&D costs as well as the increases in Marketing and General and Adminstrative costs and the significant drop in profits compared to the previous year even though revenue increased.
So based on these figures even when we had 9-10k players on Dust it was still making a loss so I do not believe CCP is making decisions based on player count but on some other measure they believe to be more important.
At the moment it looks like Dust is being completly supported by the revenue generated from Eve subscriptions and is not even breaking even let alone making any profit. In fact I would guess that Dust is currently a massive money sink.
Saying all that, as a player of the game, I genuinely hope that CCP finds a means of turning this product around and it becomes the game we all hope, apart from the haters, it can become. |

EU peak time is from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm... normally is about 2,000 payers on at that time. Compare that to other games, and you'll see how far off you are. |

GMT+0= Western European Time GMT+1= Central European Time GMT+2= Eastern European Time GMT+3= Further-eastern European Time GMT+4= Moscow Time
Is 5 different time zones in the EU. |

Bragging about 2 million accounts created in Dust 514 while on average ~5k people are playing is a joke, at best (not even that). Thank god that there are EVE players with 20 accounts that surely keep this game well alive till it's worth something 5 years from now (EVE needed 10). |

It's less bragging and more about marketing. They're a business. That's why when earnings reports roll around, corps like Microsoft don't say stuff, "All of our products our horrible, our company is going down in flames, dear God... the horror, half our developers have committed suicide... and...." - and so on. Even if it were true, it would adversely impact stock price, investor confidence, and internal morale.
That they try to be positive about numbers is completely normal. |

The last thread like this got deleted
but the player count is going down quite quick, those of us who really want to see this as a success are still here and personally
These threads are semi pointless we can all see the player count is going down but we do need to see and we do want to help CCP turn this into a top end FPS and MMO
CCP should recognise that and let us know their plans in place to turn this ship around or come to the community and ask for our help to get it working

The smart business move would be to know you have a bad hand and fold at the moment the EvE link is still weak enough that burning dust won't have too much impact. Sadly I feel thry developed a bad F1 car and no amount of insesion development and testing is going to save it better to look at next year car. I hope that metaphor made since lol |

I donGÇÖt think CCP expects DUST to start making money until 2015 or so. Releasing the game was only semantics. Most of the game is not available yet. |
