CCP Eterne wrote:The dev blog is written, it's waiting a final edit pass, it will either be out today or tomorrow.
EDIT: May have misspoken because I am the bad at reading. It might go out Thursday. Why do we have two days that start with T? I don't know. Uh, because the God of Thunder rates his own day! Talk to Reykjavik, it was their idea. |

They talked about short term goals which they defined as 6-12 months (from Fanfest's time), and defined far future goals as 18+ months I believe. You might want to watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKYglEoJyNc until they release the devblogs, they never release their devblogs on time; one time I remember they said a devblog would be out in a few hours, and it took them over a day. Many devblogs that were suppose to be released that they told us about never got released. Just a note but due to the feedback we've received since Uprising the roadmap has greatly changed since the Fanfest presentation. We're looking far more on fixing our basic mechanics than other things. "Loe be unto him who hath killed a heavy gleefully in the open with an LAV! Collision damage shall be fixed, and racial heavies implimented, and invisible walls baring thy way removed!!' sayith Sir Robin. And there was much rejoicing. And eating of minstrels. And songs were sung unto the holy CCP who said "NAY! Into that light we shall not go!" and proceeded to put a rainbow in the sky, saving many light suits, and there was much rejoicing. And eating of minstrels. And Sir Robin said: "It is done. Uprising 1.2 is here". And there was much rejoicing. And the aim bug was fixed. And the PC lag bug was fixed. And in his left hand Sir Robin held the tanks and said unto them "you shall live, until you die" and there was much rejoicing. And tanks received an HP buff. And in his right hand Sir Robin held armor-using infantry. And said unto them "you shall move fast like the wind" and there was much rejoicing. And ferroscale was released unto the world. And Sir Robin sat for a while, pondering the forums and blew a great wind upon the world and said "behold! the last of the Respecs has come" and there was much rejoicing. And Sir Robin said unto the immortals "behold! I have given you great wonders, and less great wonders, and allowed your kind to slay one another with impugnity. now a consequence shall befall those who slay not as one team, but as individuals" and closed his eyes and factional warfare was fixed, and team queing was implimented, and team play was brought to the masses. And there was much rejoicing." So sayeth the dev prophecies this day, 24 June 2013. I am compelling my minions to etch this, verbatim, in stone as we speak. And I am eating a minstrel burrito while rejoicing. +1 |

Additionally, there is a bug fix currently being tested that should hopefully resolve the framerate issues (I've heard the bug is causing halving of framerates in places). We don't think it'll get into Uprising 1.2 but should come shortly after. you have no idea how helpful these kind of posts can be. keeping us in the loop of what problems are being worked on goes miles with this community. Im sure few understand the time and work it requires to successfully address various issues, but knowing they are being worked on restores hope in the dedicated ;) Chicagocubs speaks the Truth. Feedback, communication and keeping the community in the loop is all I have (speaking only for myself but recognizing that I am far from alone) ever asked for.
Despite dragon boat festivals, Viking Summer Raiding parties (vacation), and a plethora of other holidays, delays and obstacles to progress, you will find many fans of Dust can be very patient if you just let us know.
Thor knows we've lasted this long. |

Jin Robot wrote:QQing about a delay before a delay even happens. You guys are priceless...as in not worth a ****. Jin, don't judge the skeptical player base too harshly. We honestly have good cause to 'trust but verify' ( and in a lot of cases don't trust, just verify). It's great that devblogs are being imminently promised but until they are released we are in the same boat we have been. |
