Money earned in game is determined via the value and quantity of the enemy gear you destroyed, the WP you gained, and weather you won or lost. The most important of these is the value and quantity of gear destroyed. If you kill 10 prototype fitted players you'll make more Isk then if you killed 15 militia fitted noobs by a substantial amount. Ive played games where ive earned over 500k isk, though a standard match for me is 230k give or take a few thousand.
The following is the method they determine your reward.......
The game takes the value of ALLLLLL of the enemy loot destroyed in the match. It then takes that money and devides it up to the players based on how much they contributed to the match weather it was through kills or WP.
Now I absolutely have no idea if what I just told you is true, but its what I vaguely remember........ Basically, More kills = more money. More proto kills = even more money. Your whole team gets proto kills = crazy money.
Atleast if memory serves me right anyway...... |

How much ISK the enemy team lost, and your contribution to the team (WP)
If you're at the top of the leaderboard you will get the highest share of the ISK. |

In other words, if you are gonna run proto gear, it is more efficient to hunt other people with proto gear. If you run around hunting militia suits and you lose a proto fit, it isn't very efficient, |

I hit my first 500K ISK reward the other night and although it felt no different to the X number of matches before hand - and my kills weren't even that high I realised there might be another variable involved. I tried to think back at how this match was different from the others, and then I did realise I spent time killing/hacking things at every single objective point on the map.
Because the algorithm isn't public knowledge (and might never be), I wonder if this is another variable. When I saw some guy get the million ISK reward from a fairly average match I think that the "types" of actions you perform and the "variety" of them have some effect on the eventual ISK earnings. Has anyone else noticed this?
So my theory (and for now it remains a theory) if I compare matches where my kills/WP remain relatively constant but the types of activities to get to those level of kills/WP was different, then my ISK would be higher:
Match 1: 10 kills/assists, 0 hacks, 0 vehicle kills/assists Match 2: 5 kills/assists, 5 hacks, 1 vehicle kill/assist + a few team resupply bonuses
For the sake of argument the WP result is similar, and match 2 gives me less kills, but I get more ISK. It needs a lot of testing but of course, having a battle where variables remain the same to determine which variable affects it most is incredibly difficult.
Of course, if a CCP dev wants to appear , throw magic dust around (an algorithm,) and disappear, you're more than welcome. :) |

I'm pretty sure that a big part of what you make comes as a % of the wp you make for your entire team. My best isk ever was a while game that went for an entire 9-10 minutes that ended up being a 2v2 match the entire time. I killed a STD HAV and died a couple of times, but I was the one on my team with 90% of the points and made about 595k i think.
Also, I've asked squad members with lower and higher WP scores than me, and as a logi, I've never had a time where I scored more WP, but gotten less isk than someone else. So if it is a function of what YOU kill I don't think this can be the case, because I've gone matches without killing much of anything, but still making the most isk of anyone. |

Then run a Gek, save up, then use the Duvolle. |
