Why would you use a heavy suit for point defence when a scout with a shotgun and remote explosives is so much more effective?

You are now so slow I can hit you with all three of my Core Locus grenades, although it would only take one and a few bullets to finish you off. I agree they will be better when CCP removes the hard cap on range.

I go neg in PC sometimes knowing I did my job by being the distraction or general annoyance., but I give my clones for the glory of IO & EoN! right on Heavy Breaks, I hear ya there, its almost like you can see the look on there actual face when you walk right through a flux and dump round after round in there back when they run away, now im not the best heavy in the game. but I do take pride in knowing that I can hold a Object by my self ( hopefully with triage hives there) or be the best damn Agro in the game, cause when I step out its always all eyes on me, till my Ar bros come out and rip them up, I don't mind sacrificing suits for the overall victory, that's what a heavy is for now, but like stated before, the heavy that can just run and gun and shoot the whole map down is gone, just glad I got to play as that while I had the chance!

Even as a non-heavy player, I feel bad for the heavies. Only one suit... continued downgrades/nerfs to suit and weapons.... I guess there are those that love it, and I'm glad they are out there to help give the game some variety.

However frustrating being a heavy can be, that sounds when you're HMG is tearing through armour followed by filling a killfeed gives me wood.

I'm actually worried that they're going to suck, the screenshot we had showed a 2 high 1 low prototype with 300/300 health and an equipment slot? Plus there was talk of making them slower? You cannot. I repeat. Can not, take HP from the heavy while simultaneously reducing maneuverability. That will KILL the class. It's already the slowest and easiest to hit dropsuit, you can only reduce maneuverability by increasing durability, otherwise the class is dead before it's born. And why the equipment slot? They also better not screw up the CPU/PG to the point where you can't use two weapons without having to fit garbage modules. The Commando is going to be an interesting suit, to say the least.
