This is my suggestion for a SL Variant:
Upon firing, volleys from this weapon travel in a straight line for a fixed amount of time, before travelling to the lock-on target. This enables us to fire from behind cover, or reduce the capability of vehicles to duck behind cover. This advantage would of course come with a penalty. Reduced lock-on speed/damage/flight speed etc.
What do you folks think? Ingenius variation or pointless waste of market space? |

I think that vehicle users, particularly HAVs, already have enough trouble taking cover from swarm launchers. |

Meh, if you want to do this. Just look up and jump, then shoot.
Not enough of a reason to use. Just my 3 pesos. |

That does prove that there's a demand for this advantage though. |

I'd prefer a version with weaker tracking, but faster missiles. |

I would prefer to manually activate the tracking by pressing the fire button after the volley of missiles where released. But this would be way too OP against vehicles.
Swarm launchers can already fire behind cover and hit targets behind cover to some degree as long as they have a lock on a target. I guess knowing which angle to unleash the volley of missiles counts as user skill for the swarm launcher?
