Does each dev comb the forums looking for something interesting to read? Does one dev report to specific teams if a thread is relevant to them? Whats the whole system behind this? I would like it if one of the GM's or somebody took 2 minutes out of their day to explain this.
The reason why I bring it up is because I noticed that a thread was posted about sounds that the OP wanted back in the game. Not toooo long after a dev from the earworm team responded, obviously because its relevant to his team's work. SO that made me wonder...... Its not possible that the devs just surf the forums all day while working right? Right? Or is it possible that the devs/GM's responsible for reading the threads just report what they read to the relevant teams that should be interested in this?
I mean...... the first idea I had makes the most sense, but honestly im secretly hoping CCP has a sophisticated system in place where one moderator/dev will flag the threads that are relevant to specific teams FOR those teams to read, and then the teams reply if they feel the need to. Basically im hoping for a CCP undercover intelligence agency that spys on all of us...... |

From how I understand it: -The people who actually report back to the teams that change stuff normally browse through the Feedback forums, most of those people don't post themselves, as they aren't community mods.
-Community Mods browse through all forums to 1) Search for good ideas / feedback 2) Moderate the Forum as is their job 3) Interact with the community on some level to show Dev involvement.
-The guys who fix bugs browse the technical support forums, so they know what bugs people are having. AKA, if you have a bug, general is not the place to complain about it because it won't get fixed if you go here.
-GM's browse through all the forums making sure Forum rules are being upheld. |

OooooooO this is fancy, do you think the GM's get flagged each time someone posts something??? Any special login GM's can get??? im trying to un-mystify the CCP war machine by first understanding it here! So I need details! |

Various members of the Community team including the likes of GMs DEVs and CCL from ISD help formulate the report the CPM sees weekly, the CPM does help out but sometimes the report just covers everything the CPM raises so its a good back end tune check to see if the tune of what the CPM sees on the forums is matching that with what CCP is seeing. |

OooooO interesting, I forgot to ask about the CPM. How do you guys work exactly? I mean, you represent the community right? So, are you guys obligated to send in weekly reports to CCP? Just how far do you all take your CPM roles? Because honestly your the only one I see that posts regularly...... Maybe kane sparrow does too (bad spelling), but not too often...... What exactly do you guys do? |

The community team flags up certain threads to the relevant teams - it's as simple as that. |
